Changelog for Patch 1.05 (added 28 December 2017):

Improvements:
* Relaxed mode added! You can change mode on the Select Chapter screen using the panel at the bottom. Relaxed mode has easier enemies and more gold. Also if you lose a duel you can click Skip on the level end dialog and move on with no penalty (you'll still get the enemy loot.)
* Beating Hard mode also unlocks Normal and Relaxed achievements. Normal mode also unlocks Relaxed achievements.
* Renamed Hard mode as Very Hard because that's what it is!
* Active Abilities recharge by 50% when retrying a hand/duel.
* Ch7 Hand 8 now reminds players to equip their recovered weapons before fighting the Executioner.
* Made Sea Tar fight at end of Ch8 a bit easier in case players didn't buy the best weapons.
* Cutpurse fight in Ch8 is a tiny bit easier.

Fixes:
* Ch15 Hand 7 had a gold goal of 5 turns and silver of 24. It should have been silver=29 and gold=24. Also fixed Ch 19 hand 8 turn goals to be gold=14 and silver=17.
* Pressing H on the title screen no longer tries to load the instructions screen, which doesn't exist.
* Active ability cards are now blocked on Ch1 Hand 1 because they can mess up the tutorial.
* Inventory screen sometimes didn't show defense or stealth value after completing certain chapters.
* Rabbit Foot passive ability no longer creates wildcards that overlap in the wrong order.
* Rusty Boarding Axe flavour text edited so that it doesn't run on too far.
* Weapons no longer get unhidden if you restart Ch7 Hand 1 (Gaol).
* Inventory screen now correctly warns you if you have an empty active or passive ability slot and an unused card of the correct type in your inventory.
* Fixed Ch14 hand 6 layout so that getting a torch isn't dependent on removing the suit lock first, which could sometimes result in an impossible layout.
Thanks for posting that. I'm guessing it's live now then? That's good. There may be another patch soon which adds some cool new stuff.

Changelog for Patch 1.06 (added 19 March 2018):

Improvements:
* You can now sell items back to the shop! Simply drag the item you want to sell over the shop area. You'll only get 10% of the full item price though because the main purpose of this is for people who want to tidy up their inventories.
* Stars earned are shown above the chapter cards on the Select Chapter screen. Each mode (relaxed/normal/very hard) records stars earned separately.
* Added confirmation dialog for when purchasing shop items.
* Default.ini changed so that game will load in borderless window instead of full-screen on first play.

Fixes:
* Fixed Borderless Window on Mac to have no title bar and to hide app launcher bar.
* Fixed I admit am typo in Ch9 story.

Don't know if the developer still reads what's posted here but, just in case... The first patch speaks of achievements. I assume it's a copy / paste of the Steam changelog since there are no achievements on GOG.

Can we expect achievements in the near future since these are really suiting this kind of game?

Anyway, fun game.

V1.07 update.

Improvements:
- Tool weapons now say "(Tool)" on the large version of the collectible card.
- Sea/Land weapons now say "(Sea)" or "(Land)" on the large version of the collectible card.
- Added a newsletter button to the Title Screen.
- Tweaked Stand and Deliver ability to generate a playable card more often.
- Tweaked Shadowhand shuffle ability to reveal playable cards more often.
- Ability cards now fill from the bottom of the screen as they charge, not from the bottom of the card which is off the screen.
- Profile system now records and restores backups if need be.
- Game will reload in Windowed mode after a crash.
- Deleted unused graphics from Menus folder
- Compressed ambientsounds folder from 64Mb to 7Mb by using oggs thus reducing install size.

Fixes:
- Prevented wildcards/jokers from being used on the first tutorial level.

Glad you like the game. Yes someone copy/pasted Steam update log. Sorry but there won't be achievements for GOG. The reason is that the language I use, BlitzMax, had a 3rd party module for adding achievements for Steam, but there isn't one for GOG.

Thanks for the feedback. Too bad to hear about the lack of achievements but as a small studio I can understand where the issue lies.

I don't know how popular BlitzMax is within the Indie scene (that something GOG team may know) but if it's regularly used, it might be interesting from GOG's point of view to implement a similar wrapper (or technically support such a development) to easen the achievements integration.

V1.08 update released! Inventory and other improvements. [At last!!]
27th june - Grey Alien
Improvements:
- Added tooltips for difficulty mode checkboxes on the Select Chapter screen.
- Mousing over an outfit slot now glows corresponding outfit cards in the player's inventory.
- Modified outfit sorting in inventory screen so that jackets appears earlier to better correspond with outfit slot order.
- The tip which tells players to mouse over the enemy to see their stats is now also shown on hand 4-3 and hand 6-1 to make sure they have seen it.
- The Goals Not Met dialog retry button now says "Retry Chapter" to make it ultra clear.
- The Goal Not Met dialog (for when you miss a story item) retry button now says "Retry Hand" to make it ultra clear.
- A dialog is no longer shown if you just picked up a story item that you already picked up earlier in a chapter e.g. Wanted Posters
Fixes:
- Disabled Family Jewels and Heirloom Brooch on the first tutorial level in case they mess up the fixed stock.

V1.09 minor update released. Shuffle fix in duels.

This is just a minor update to fix rare issues that users have told us about.
Fixes:
- Prevented shuffle ability in duels from moving spare cards/jokers into the stock pile as this could cause issues.
- Disabled the log file as one user reported an error writing to it.
