Quite frankly, I don't care. More important things in my life to worry about. I also fail to understand the so-called "war" between Steam and GoG. Is that like Star Trek vs Star Wars, or Mac vs PC, or Coke vs Pepsi?

If so, I don't want any part of it.
Since when being a fan is childish? I support gog with all my heart because of their honest drm-free policy and reliable technical support.
And covering up a failure is not really declaring a war...
I bought this game from GoG. I'm happy that I bought this game from GoG as I want to support the developer and I like the principles that GoG stands for - DRM free and classic gaming on modern systems.

I'm not going to start crying because I spent $6 that I didn't need to; I live in the developed world and can afford it.
The UK isn't really the developed world. ;)

Oh it is - I've heard there's something wonderful and new called "electricity" which we're getting next year...

Careful. Rarely does the money from GOG reach the developer, especially for old games. It's usually pocketed by a licence holder, and that's usually not even the original publisher (see all the Activision and EA titles here). With SW, that might not strictly be the case, as 3DRealms seems to still be in a position to control some of its properties, but then the question becomes who from the original devs is left there, and do you really want to support a company with as shoddy of a recent record as 3DR. Just food for thought.
I am just going to do a short post since I noticed there are a lot of nonconstructive posts in this thread. I will not stroke the tiny ego's of those looking for a fight. To all the constructive well thought out posters good stuff =)
GOG needs to be more aggressive with their deal striking. I'm just really happy they got System Shock 2 first! I'm confident the likes of Baldur's Gate EE, Duke Nukem 3D Megaton and Shadow Warrior Redux will make their way here, too.

Baldur's Gate EE maybe, but I believe Valve themselves commissioned Megaton and Redux and paid JonoF / TerminX to extend their source ports. In that case I'm pretty sure it's going to remain steam exclusive.

That said, as a result jfsw received a bunch of polish and is now quite usable if you have the know how to compile it yourself: https://github.com/jonof
thanks for that link, I'll add it to Shadow Warrior Central .. was the last release of JFsw not in 2005 ?

Is the mouse aim (Y Axis) pretty good on this version of jfsw?

I'm not really sensitive enough to notice that sort of thing. There are notes in the change log that mouse aiming was redone.

I'm definitely one of those fps freaks who would :P. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks

PS: How would I compile it?

In linux it was easy as cloning jfsw, then putting jfbuild, jfaudiolib, and jfmact in it's folder and typing make.

I think the process for windows is the same but you need a bunch of stuff first:
MSYS, MingGW, NASM, SDL 1.2.

Someone should host a build, but I haven't found it in a quick google.
Shadow Warrior is cheap enough anyways that one ccan easily afford all 3 flavours of the game on Steam and GoG. I bought Shadow Warrior Classic Complete on GoG, and the Redux version on Steam. I appreciate the freebie given away on Steam, but that won't stop me from buying games on GoG on the off chance that it might be free on Steam. In fact, GoG may be my preferred method of getting games, and it will take a lot for Steam to change that.

The guarantee that there is no nasty 3rd party DRM to deal with that they forgot to mention (Like what Steam does with a lot of Ubisoft games that require UPlay.) is one of those things.
