Ghostbreed: Of course I know what it does. I tried it with ROTT as well but who the hell stands around shooting concrete walls to dust anyway?
I didn't mean to imply you didn't know what it did, but when there are 15 bad guys shooting at you and you are fighting back there are all kinds of effects that PhysX effects that, to me, completely change the way I look at the game.
Yes, but it looks so overreacted in many games too.

Overreacted? What do you mean? (Not wanting to argue here, just curious what you mean. After all, I can turn it on of I want, so your opinion does not offend me, I am just wondering.)
I never thought you were looking to fight, I gladly share my opinions with anyone.
Well, I mean that sometimes even the smallest bullet can make the biggest damage not even a rocket can.
But I guess it's just a matter of taste, one may love it and one another may not.
These Tweaks made the game at least playable for me, but it runs way too poor. Sure, my System is4 or 5 Years old, but it handles Stuff Like Crysis 2, Rage, Hard Reset or any Other Unreal Engine Game way better than this, heck, even pCARS runs way better than this. For me it seems that the biggest problem is the DX9 Renderer, with a DX11 Renderer it will probably run much better, until it get´s Patched I refuse to play the game again.
This thing feels like a unfinished, untested Beta.
Also experiencing some spectacularly choppy performance on a borrowed Windows 8 machine. I've either got to find the right settings (but I hate to have to turn anything down) or get a new (i.e. my own) computer. :( I've got plenty of other stuff to play in the meantime, but I was really in the mood for this. Ah, well, c'est la vie.
Thanks for this! The game runs just fine on my rig, but the mouse smoothing was very annoying. Feels way better without it.
Feels like the fps limiter fix fixed teh mouse smoothing a bit.

*raises hand*

Destruction effects in videogames have always fascinated me.

I am also guilty of the occasional desecration of concrete structures.
