Finding a copy of Quake Enhanced in my account this afternoon was a nice surprise. It certainly took a while to get here, but it's here at last.
Is there a way to scale the UI in Quake Enhanced?

Tarhiel: My bad, I meant all the other addons (Quake64, etc), those are not here.
Expansions are. If they would allow adding addons from localhost, so they would pop up in the addon menu (ease of access), that would be awesome.

I fiddled with it yesterday and couldn´t make the Quake 1.5 work with it, is it compatible?
Quake 1.5 was built on the Darkplaces Quake engine (which has an update coming). I read that the developers were working on making Quake 1.5 work in another engine, Quakespasm Spiked I think. So you will need to used one of those two Quake engines. Doesn't Quake 1.5 come with Darkplaces?

Gleaken: [Error message]
If you are Windows 7 you are out of luck with the addons. Anyway, save Quake 64 and the horde mode, all of the other addons are publicly (and freely) available in quaddicted/slipseer to play with your favorite sourceport.

EDIT: I found this unnoficial server created by the people of slipseer that has most of the addons (If not all) plus some custom stuff.

It's working fine in Windows 7 (See attached screenshot). Still, take into account that this is not official from Bethesda and there's no way (other than trusting the community that hosts it) to be sure if the server is 100% legit.

(Also the downloaded addons goes to C:\Users\<UserName>\Saved Games\Nightdive Studios\<Addon>, so taking the <Addon> folder and launching it from any other sourceport should be easy peasy).

There is option to download prebundled one, I got that one, but it was glitchy.
I didn´t fiddled with it for too long, maybe I did something wrong.

EDIT:// Okay, I spend several hours trying to maker it work, and it doesn´t.
I will wait for that upcoming update.

Schnapple: So, like a lot of folks I had Quake on GOG from way back, that "The Offering" pack, and now I have the Enhanced Edition too.

But for anyone who didn't already have the original, do you still get the original as well if you were to buy it today?
Yes, everything is included still.
As far as addons go, give the Quake 64 one a try. It's a pretty interesting take on the game.
Just saw now that I had the Enhanced version in my library.
I can feel lthat the physics are a tad different, atleast the walking and running are. But it didn't get long to get into it.

I've been hoping to get to play the new expansion.

Is it me or is there an issue with the enhanced offline installer as I try to download the installer but when it reaches the end of the doanload it then says Downolad Failed every time. What am I doing wrong?

I think there is an issue on your end because I just downloaded the installer and there were no problems. Try to clear your browser cache or try to download with another browser. ( I tested with firefox )

Neurus_Ex: Huh, that's weird.

I use Playnite and it has shown me that there's a (new) Quake Enhanced on my account. Going there it shows an actual page in Galaxy.

Maybe, finally, after a year and a bit, Bethesda has decided to give us the darned update?

EDIT: I've installed it. Will update in a bit.
EDIT2: Looks like this is it, boys. Let's wait for an official announcement, but it looks like its finally here!
EDIT3: The Galaxy page does not show achievements, nor the "SuccessStory" plugin for Playnite, so it looks like we are getting a discount update, or it is not 100% ready? ...but there's achievements inside of the game itself.
EDIT4: The store's page description is also updated to quake enhanced's. Although not the game's name.
EDIT5: There's now two diferent items on the library (See the other attached capture). I'm wondering if they've replaced altogether the original Quake version (and new purchases don't have it) or if they've gone with splitting the game into two different items. Looking at other games (Baldur's Gate), it could seem they've nuked the original version.
EDIT6: Trying to connect to my Bethesda.net account from the game returns an error at the moment.
Reading the store page, it looks like if you buy Quake, it puts them both in your library bundle-style, so use whichever you like. Makes sense since Steam did similar, offering up both versions when you buy it.

Yeah, IIRC (This is a bit old and I already configured my Quakespasm to play everything, btw, check out Dwell because is AMAZING) originally Quake enhanced had the original Quake in its installation (At least in Steam). At least here they are two separate products and it seems if you buy now Enhanced, you also get the original.
