LaronX: I downloaded PoP: Warrior Within via Galaxy and tried to apply the widescreen patch but it doesn't show me the pop2.exe. When I go to the folder it is right there in the root of Warrior Within but when I open the same folder in the Universal widescreen patcher it doesn't display it.
Same problem for me here.

EDIT: Found the solution.

i already mentioned this in another topic but since this one is stickied i might as well mention it here

if you play Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Warrior Within, The Two Thrones in Widescreen the screen actually loses information instead of gaining information.

cause the widescreen type for these prince of persia games is Vert-

basically put Hor+ means Gaining Information
and Vert- means losing information

just wanted to let everyone who reads this topic know about what happens when you play these Prince of Persia games in Widescreen

(Prince of Persia 2008 is Hor+ iirc cause it came out much later than the sands of time trilogy)
I've found a much better solution for the widescreen resolution:

http://ps2wide.net/pc.html#popww

This works like a charm, and it's actually Hor+!

Madsjn: Does anyone know if it's possible to get a wide screen resolution for Sands of Time - like 1650*1080?

Not that it's really that necessary - game still looks awesome without - but it would be cool though :-)

pops117: 1650x1080 ?? That's a strange resolution, I'm sure you mean 1680x1050 ;)

It's possible to get widescreen resolution, here's the solution:
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/UniWS

Run "uniws.exe", chose the game you want to patch from the drop down menu (Prince of Persia The Sands of Time in this case), browse your game folder where the "POP.EXE" is located and type in the bottom the new resolution you want to add. There's a note on the right telling you "Patches any game version, but only works on a cracked POP.EXE." but I tested it and it works well on the GOG "POP.EXE".
Then just click "Patch" and you're done. Start the game and now you will be able to pick the new resolution in the graphics option.
The link is broken. All I get is an error 1001 message.

Thanks merin, this patch is a lot better but for some reason I cannot use any resolution bigger than 720p (I am trying 1080p...).
Do you have any solution to that?
I can't get Merin's solution to work. Just extracted it to the game folder, ran upx.exe (even though it says upx.bat in the readme) and changed the resolution in the .ini file. Am I missing something?
Widescreen Mod ps2wide .
Copy the file to your main directory.
Edit pop.ini for your desired resolution.

Also you need to unpack .exe file with upx (Two Thrones in my case)

Can't manage for two thrones to work in 16:10 resolution 1920x1200. In the game only have 16:9 resolution and not native 16:10. Can you help me what to do? You mention something about unpacking .exe with upx?

I think you need to edit ini file first and not set resolution from the game options

tried that but nothing happens, maximum resolution can choose is 1920x1080, can't get 1920x1200. Fix for pop1 and pop2 works fine.
