Toploader: Here is a fixed .exe that will put it right.

Unzip into your install folder and overwrite the old one. This will also stop the dead NPC's doing a 360 spin when they die. Sorry for this problem you guys have had, I'll get the base game on gog.com replaced and also a proper hotfix installer worked out.

Thank you a lot! I still can't play it with the mouse and I get the occasional 360 spin, but the keyboard works really nice - so I can finally play the game :)

there are two fixes, the hotfix from gog and the one in this thread. both didn't fix the game for me. the first one did nothing and the second one changed the turning speeds indeed but now left turning is faster than turning right. it's a little bit funny but still sad.

i find the game not very playable this way...
