The King's Quest and Space Quest series excluded the VGA remakes of their first entries, but Police Quest has done the reverse. Any chance we'll get PQ1 in its original form?
I actually wanted to post the same.... driving was so much more fun in the original EGA version!!!!
Oh darn. I saw the "new" version of PQ1 in the screen shots, but just assumed the original was included as well.

Maybe they will add the original just like they did in the Broken Sword re-release!

*crosses fingers*
I fourth the request for the original Police Quest 1!
What's the deal with leaving out official versions (AGI or SCI) from the package? Some decision made by the suits at Activision?
Sweet, I hate EGA so I'm happy they have the VGA remake.
i think its cool that its the remake. i booted up the 2nd one, and the controls are just... omg. that, combined with the face name inpupt security system.. so i guess the 2nd one will be the only one i wont play in this package.
Oh, so the GOG release excludes the original version.

What the heck, I'll get this bundle anyway. It's too good to miss.

Thanks GOG.
As far as I remember, the EGA version wasn't included in the original Police Quest Collection release.

It's a shame because I always liked the EGA version more.
Same here.
I played it on CGA back in the day. lol.

Right now I'm itching to type my way through PQ1.

I'm hoping they will add them later on. Like they did with Broken Sword.
I'm happy it's the VGA version of the frist so I can play because it I'm not into text adventure games but to each his own.

devooolasvegas: Not sure if this is allowed in the forums or not but the original PQ1 can be found here. It is listed as abandon ware, and therefore a free download.
It's not allowed.

I thought about that, too and sure most old Sierra games can be aquired through different means... but maybe it's that today I'd like to give back to all the games I copied as a kid... just too bad that nobody who worked at Yosemite will ever see this money.....
Did anyone notice that the manual and map for PQ1 is actually the EGA version of those documents instead of the necessary ones for the VGA version?

Want EGA!
