Can't get the widescreen mod and ghostdog mod to work properly in Vista. I install the widescreen OK with 1280 * 800 (laptop's native res, I tried 1024 * 600 also afterwards), but the game runs in a very small portion of the screen only (upper left) while the rest of the screen is black, sort of like if it was windowed. The Ghostdog mod I can seemingly not setup at all, it just quits immidieately after I run Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe (tried running as admin also, as well as with the game's exe).

What to do? :s Maybe I'll try a fresh install, but I hope someone can help me:)

I'm attempting to solve it myself. I think the solution is to install in a different directory than the "Program Files" folder since it has access restrictions on it.

I'll try to do some administrative fiddling with the command line myself and it might work, but I'm not going to write a guide. Just make a folder in your user directory called "Programs" and install it there.

Hmm. I didn't install it in "Program Files" but in my "Games" folder ... ok, I'll try again in the user folder and see if it works.
I install all my games incl. Torment in C:\Games\
and never have a problem..
Dang, doesn't work from my user folder either :/

I don't get it. I guess I'll have to play it in blur-o-vision or try it out on my netbook or something o_o

Maybe disable UAC before installing everything?
I have UAC disabled always also:/

Anyway, I guess the solution must be to uninstall Vista:)

You guys should head to spellhold studios they usually have all the planescape torment mods. You can keep up to date there to on the latest versions of the mods. Blog can be outdated when it comes to the latest versions of the mods. I think there the best community spellhold studios when it come to baldurs gate and plancescape torment aswell as icewind dale. Gibberling three is 2nd. They should have guides to installing any mod for planescape torment, community is pretty helpfull to if you have questions on certain mods.

I made mine work (I had the same problem as you). I opened the command line and started the exe files from there. That was the only difference.

ALL links in that guide link to latest versions of the mods, with one exception - the widescreen mod - but I mentioned that in OP.

What an obscure fix. :)
I have never applied so many Mods, patches, updates & edits to one game...

And they all work! I have the original 4-CD version though. I'll make sure I buy something else from GOG this weekend instead...
