1. It's done automatically. Sit back and enjoy...

2. When an adventure becomes available you will see a pop-up. Go to the stronghold management (H key) and select the flag icon. You will see an 'assign' button there.

Great, thanks!!!
Regarding 1, do you know if its possible to know the rate of income ($/time)?

Cheers!

I don't know the precise details of how tax is worked out, but it appears, from my observations, that the more stronghold upgrades you build, and the stronger the security, the more taxes you get coming in. The security may only calculate how much you lose to bandits, rather than income.

It's prestige level.
I was wondering the whole time who the taxes came from. I mean Caed Nua is just a keep. There must be lands around it, sure, but why would anyone pay taxes to Caed Nua? And for what? I love this game, but this part didn't work for me. Was Caed Nua offering ANY services to anyone, that would justify taxing people for it?

If it's so easy to get people to pay taxes for seemingly nothing, I'm surprised people didn't always run this scheme. :P Forget about the master, you wouldn't even have to be in the keep to do it. ;)

I recall one of the NPC's (or perhaps a book) saying something to the effect that Caed Nua overlooks several trade/travel routes and that the owners used to collect tolls on them. That doesn't really explain where your tax income comes from, though. maybe you went out to the tolhouses offscreen and roughed up the toll-collecters and some passing merchants :)

From wiki, of course: "...lesser lords usurped/privatized a wide range of prerogatives and rights of the state, most importantly the highly profitable rights of justice, but also travel dues, market dues, fees for using woodlands, obligations to use the lord's mill, etc".

It's a medieval tax system. The tax is land tax (the lord of the stronghold is a major landholder), custom duties and fees (protection of roads, villages and farms), and even taxes on personal property and income.
I also have a question. I assign companions to an adventure and that's all cool, but I got a question about that. Do they only find flowers and other plant stuff and monster drops? Where is the money, the equipment, etc? Seems like a fruitless adventure if you come home and you only collected stuff from your jounrey to your quest but you did not get the reward from the quest itself. I mean on your way you slay monsters and pick up herbs, but that can't be the only thing they find, can it?

The money is in the treasure room chest next to the main keep throne :)

So he does find money? I only saw monster parts and plants in the chest. No equipment in there at all.

I sent Sagani on a Major Adventure and there was money in that chest and only money so I guess it depends :)

It's as Judas said, it all depends. The greater the adventure, the greater the rewards. My Kana came back from a major adventure with a sweet amulet, gold and sundry items. Nice! On the other hand, I've had members come back from minor adventures with just a couple of mushrooms. :-o

Ah thanks for pointing that out. So they can get actual loot. :)
