Any idea if or when we might be getting the hotfix for patch 1.03? Just read about it here:

https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/75410-103-hotfix-for-problem-with-adventurer-hall-companions/

We have hotfixed the problem with adventurer hall-created companions not being able to unlock doors or chests. This should work correctly now. Without getting into too much detail, it looks like adding and removing a companion in the Stronghold can cause its voice set to be stripped. This was causing a null reference exception when they tried to unlock items.

I read that it's about a 890Mb patch though lol. Just wondering when or if we might be getting it. I know it's the holiday and I really appreciate that they got 1.03 out for us really fast and don't mind waiting till next week. Enjoy the holiday gog and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Looks like gog guys have no any idea about hotfix. Cause if they had they released both of them in same time.

Again with the rumormongering? Haven't you learned your lesson yet?
The patch without the hotfix is like Christmas without Santa.
Well, that's a fairly easy bug to avoid.

Either don't create your own team (use the game's NPCs), or if you do, just stick with them and don't dismiss them in the stronghold.

OR get the IE mod from the Nexus - it adds new console commands (you don't even need to enable them with 'iroll20s', just type the command), commands including "ManageParty" - which allows you to dismiss and recruit companions in a void - bypassing the stronghold need for it all together.

In fact, this is the trick to keep the tutorial fighter and rogue in your party by bypassing their death script. Keeping them, once you get to Gilded Vale you'll have a team of 5 - 2 fighters, a wizard, a rogue, and your PC. If you built a party you'd likely build a fighter and a rogue anyway, this way at least you keep the game's pre-created companions.

If you go this route, dismiss them using "ManageParty" right before you leave the tutorial ruins, watch the scene, DON'T LEVEL UP YET, and move to the next area and recruit them back using "ManageParty" again. All will get to level to 2 and you'll have control of their level points.

I'm not saying a hotfix isn't needed, but it's extremely minor compared to the bugs before the current patch

............. unless there are others I'm not aware of
IEmod isn't viable until there's an updated version which is compatible with the new game version.
Also, the patch didn't install correctly for me, with IEmod installed; it overwrites the csharp.dll, which is then not recognized by the patcher. So you have to backup your original csharp.dll before installing IEmod, and need to replace it again before installing the patch. Which I didn't (...both...). Now I'm screwed.

I can give my AssemblyCSharp.dll to you, if you would trust me to use it. It's pretty safe because you won't be running the game and it will never be loaded into your RAM and nothing from it will be executed. Alternatively, you could reinstall the game and then patch it.

I'd really appreciate that :) (Yours is also the GoG-Version, patched with the 1.03 patch?)

I have both the patched version and the original version of AssemblyCSharp.dll Here is the 1.03 version. Here is the 1.03. I guess you only need to replace that and the rest of the patch is applied?

If you want to be safe and run the patch over the original Assembly-CSharp.dll without executing a file you just downloaded, I'll post the original dll too so you can run the patch again over it.

Also, don't forget to rename it from 1.03Assembly-CSharp.dll to Assembly-CSharp.dll

Yep, it only didn't change the Assembly-csharp.dll.

Ok, I copied your file to the managed directory and the game runs fine, shows the correct game version and all. Thanks a lot! :-)

Sure thing,

Cheers! :)
I installed the 1.03 patch last evening, and have no problem with my hireling rogue picking locks. I have not done any party changes, however.
You need to removed and add them in the keep for them to bug out.
Everyone who tells people to just use 3rd party hacks or console commands to bypass stuff, please stop. Some of us want to play the game the way it was supposed to be played.

It is a major inconvenience that I can now no longer pick locks, and I very much regret installing the 1.03 patch since I had no issues previously.

Please GOG, give us the hotfix NOW. Why should we wait longer than the Steam guys? If a ruined game experience is the price to pay for a DRM free game, then tbh I would rather buy from Steam the next time :(

This is one of the most self-entitled post i've seen.

1. Is the catholic Easter in Poland and not only. That means that companies are legally bound to give people free time until Tuesday.
2. GOG has no week-end working hours. It's a well-known thing.
3. The hotfix was delivered on Steam very late (still working hours in US, but not in EU, so keep the time difference in mind).
4. GOG did not ruined the experience. You want to blame someone, blame Obsidian for not provinding in a timely manner the hot fix to GOG, too. But, again, they don't work at night, either.
5. I doubt that you would like someone to come in your free time and ask you to do a job that by no means you are not obliged to do it outside your working hours
6. If your life consist in finishing PoE...that's kind of sad. Seriously. Play something else while waiting, grab a beer with your buds, go out with the family or the girlfriend, read a book, watch a movie - plenty of stuff to do.
7. I agree with third party mods and hacks. Your first playthrough should always be vanilla. The mods should always come after.

Please take in consideration at least some of the points i wrote and calm down. Think what would you do in the same situations.
