Hi, everyone! I am one of the two-people team making Okhlos and I just wanted to let you know that we are here for whatever you need.

At the moment some issues have popped up throughout the different platforms but we are working right now on fixing them!

So if you need anything you can find me here or shoot me an email to sebastian@coffeepoweredmachine.com. Thanks!
Hello there,

Does the difficulty increase at any point in the game?
I'll nearly played a whole session without dying even once.

Nevertheless i really like the game concept .)
Hey!

It's hard to tell. Difficulty is something that depends much on the player, but if you almost finished a whole run the first session, then you may not find it very challenging in later runs. There are a few things that can spike up the difficulty in subsequent runs (special levels, a new special hazard) but the main challenge ahead is the last world (Olympus) and it's bosses, which can very hard to beat. Besides all this, there are the secret game modes, some of which are very, very difficult. Even for an experienced and skilled player.

And really glad you liked the concept! And I hope you have fun playing the rest of game!

P.S.: Ah! The Sphinx can be quite a challenge too.
Hello.

I just found a problem on Aphrodite boss fight.

When she was at 2 % of her health she spawned shells and the game crashed.
My mob was around 55 of capacity and more than 60 members due to Helm item.

Plus can you tell me how golden keys works ?

I never found more than 2 of these in Sparta...
I'm sure it's related to secret words ^^

N.B:Could you add a tutorial about items... figured out what was item 4 after few hours.
Hi!

Thanks for the report on the Aphrodite bug. It has been one of our main concerns. I thought I've managed to find it and fix it yesterday (and we were going to upload a new build with the fix today) but it seems I was wrong. Sorry for that. I will continue working on it.

***** Semi-Spoliers ***** They keys unlock a battle with one of the game's secret bosses. But you are going to need four of them, which are scattered all throughout Sparta, and then you need to keep the slaves carrying them alive until you reach the special building where you can use them. ****** End of Semi-Spoilers *******

And yes, we've had more than one people asking about the items. In retrospect it is something we should've addressed. We did end up writing a description for each of them for the encyclopedia but never got the chance to add it to the game.

Thanks for the feedback!
I have an older computer that has trouble running Okhlos at higher resolutions. I have to change the settings every time I play. It would be nice if the game could remember what I set it to instead of me realizing it when the game gets laggy.

Really enjoying the game, even though I stink at it.

It should remember the settings, there must be something wrong going on. Which system are playing on? And which settings are being reset? Just resolution, quality or all of them?

And so cool that you are enjoying the game! That's always great to hear!
Ubuntu 14.04 on an AMD E-350x2 with 3.5 gb RAM. I run my desktop at 1920x1080, but I turn Okhlos down to 1280x720. I put the quality on mortal and it remembers that.
It's weird that it is saving the quality but not the resolution. But we can test it now. Thanks for the info!
It may be a problem of the menu not reporting the resolution correctly. In the main menu I selected 1280x720, then started a new game and went to the options and it was still showing 1920x1080.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's keeping the resolution set at 1280x720. It's just that when I go into the menu it shows 1920x1080 selected, and I'm too distracted to notice that it's not actually changing resolution when I click on 1280x720. I feel like a moron.

Our bad, you are right. Sorry about it. We will try to have it fixed in the next version, and once again, we really appreciate you taking the time to report it!

Too bad, I can't skip the dialogue.
Homer pops up on a black screen, says his first line, and the game just stops there !

Please could you do anything to fix that !

I can't play your game :-((((

PS : i'm on a macbook pro - macos 10.11.6

Hey!

My apologies for that. We just got another report and it seems to be an issue with the current mac build. We are working on a new build but it may take a day too. In the meantime you can try playing the previous version (1.0.5), but we will be trying to have the new build as soon as we can.

Once again, I am sorry about it and I really appreciate the patience!

Edit.: I was under the impression anyone could access previous version, but I was mistaken. So we will focus on trying to get a new build up.

A new mac build should be up now, named 1.1.3. Hopefully, the issue should be fixed but if there is any other problem, let me know.
