Dukanu: Haven`t had a holiday in 2 years ...
avatar
birrrd: Is that Brexit causing that? Not trying to rude or funny. Just curious.
What that got to do with anything ? I don`t live in the UK :)
avatar
birrrd: its not law here in the US. I've had jobs working 2 months without a day off. its just law to pay more after 40 hours of work each week. In the US the average worker gets16 paid holiday and vacation days a year and that doesnt always even guarntee you the day off, just you might get paid more for working that day. The European Union requires at least 4 vacation weeks a year. Its kind of crazy really. I know this is off topic but whatelse is there to talk about here AMIRITE?

really doubt that, I've worked in the UK for 3 years and (maybe it was because i was a EU-Citizen) i always had my holidays granted on time

pathanreynn: 24 days to be exact...some companies give up to 30 days but that's extremely rare.
But you don't actually have any right to use them in a year, the company can ask you to wait up to a full year until you can use your old holidays.
Overtime is also a huge issue in the EU, 100hours + unpaid overtime is very common
Thats nuts. Most places I know make it where if you actually get vactation days and you dont use them, you lose them and restart the next year.

It's not as bad as you describe it. It all depends on the country you're in and the company you're working for. And if you have a working labor union.
Where's our patch GOG? An official word or two would be nice.

Dukanu: We all should make a petition to have the game moved on steam ! GOG is a dissapointment !
avatar
tolsen64: If you hurry, you can buy it on Steam for $29.99.

Also, if you look at nomanssky.com, their buy it now page lists everything except GOG. I tweeted them (hello games) and asked if that was a mistake. No response.
First off, assuming we're snubbed/no release at all; why would you want to reward them with another purchase via steam? Fuck that, I'm not buying the same game that's infected with DRM, no matter what the price! Sure, I have no problem to buy a steam game that I own, via gog, but not the other way around!

Yeah it sucks and they're being too damn slow, but I won't settle for a shit version of the game.

They are not snubbing GOG. I found that if you click on the Buy Now button, GOG is in the list of choices. They just didn't put the GOG logo on the main page.

I was responding to the guy who said he wanted to petition to have the game moved to Steam. It is already on Steam and it's currently on sale. So the guy could buy it on Steam if he's mad at GOG.

Given that Steam had previous multiplayer and GOG doesn't, I think it might be the other way around for some.

Fair enough, I'm not a fan of MMOs so it always slips under my radar, I can understand the fun that people have with gaming with friends, it's too easy for me to overlook that sometimes, thanks for the perspective!

This should be going to the person I was commenting on as my response was non-committal.

It only says "Buy No Man's Sky" not "Buy No Man's Sky with NEXT update".

ooh haha sorry. Your tag under your name say you are from the UK. I was just assuming.
So GOG is treated as a B series platform, amazing...
