lordbandog: Common sense would be going to play another game for a while instead of getting all worked up and upset over such a petty first world problem as having to wait a little longer to get a free update for a video game.

Orzark: Or give a bit of information to your customers so they are well informed and can go play the said other game and come back later when the patch is live :)
Fair enough, GOG could do a better job of communicating with their customers. But I still think a lot of people are overreacting.

Dukanu: NO TIME !! I barely took a day off from work and they fucked it up !
Why would you take a day off from work for a game? I mean...that sounds like you have a serious case of a addiction O.o plus..why on the day of release and not the day after? Day after you can wake up early and play till whenever you go to bed. On the release day you are bound to when ever it releases and updated, not to mention things might go wrong (tho normally that is a MMO issue).

I just don't get why you would take a day off for this, can't blame GoG for that, they didn't make you take a day off.

Edit: I do understand the frustration as you look forward to it, people can find that silly, but we all been frustrated about something silly before.

Erm,,,,,,this is NMS we are talking about. People have over-reacted since launch day!

It's tradition by this stage, and Hello Games would be upset if it changed :)

Yeah but on launch day people had a whole swath of missing features to freak out about, not just a few extra hours of waiting.

Some people work a lot. Some only get days off when they take days off and they save it for times like this. I work for myself so I cant really relate but I did set my work aside for today because I thought it would be a good day to spend playing NMS with my son. I get people's frustartions. I can't count how many days off school I skipped to play games lol. But those were different days when games worked as intended when they were intended too.
Well times have changed. NMS is now more important than life, and having to wait until last on GOG is just too much for some people. It's a game, a very, very important game.

Well that i can understand, if you need to ask day's off otherwise you don't get day's off (tho isn't it a law to have atleast 1 day off per week? Atleast it is in my country if you work for a company, if you decide to have a second job then its on your own).

But like i said, next time, take the day after off, more changes its released by then ;) Plus more hours to play! But where I'm from patching means its already 19:00 (7 in the evening) on steam so i might as well work on that day anyway.

Yeah, I hear you're all there, I'm going to give it another hour then I'm off to bed, so hopefully, it will be up and running tomorrow.

Dukanu: We all should make a petition to have the game moved on steam ! GOG is a dissapointment !
If you hurry, you can buy it on Steam for $29.99.

Also, if you look at nomanssky.com, their buy it now page lists everything except GOG. I tweeted them (hello games) and asked if that was a mistake. No response.

its not law here in the US. I've had jobs working 2 months without a day off. its just law to pay more after 40 hours of work each week. In the US the average worker gets16 paid holiday and vacation days a year and that doesnt always even guarntee you the day off, just you might get paid more for working that day. The European Union requires at least 4 vacation weeks a year. Its kind of crazy really. I know this is off topic but whatelse is there to talk about here AMIRITE?

Is that Brexit causing that? Not trying to rude or funny. Just curious.
Fyi ... The torrent sites released the PC version of next faster than GOG.com ... Immagine that ...

24 days to be exact...some companies give up to 30 days but that's extremely rare.
But you don't actually have any right to use them in a year, the company can ask you to wait up to a full year until you can use your old holidays.
Overtime is also a huge issue in the EU, 100hours + unpaid overtime is very common
