Since the Beyond update, Space Stations seem to be ghost towns, no ships come and land inside of them. I did happen to see a couple coming once, but they disappeared as they landed. I've been hopping wealthy galaxies looking for S Class ships and haven't seen a single one because of this. They still land at trading posts, but they all seem to be the same C Class ships or ones I've seen across countless galaxies. I've also been hanging out in my freighter hoping they would land there with still no luck.

Is anyone else having this problem? I searched this forum and didn't come up with anything.
A lot of times, I see ships enter the Space Station, only to disappear in mid air. I've also had no ships showing up at all after the initial wave -- even after waiting for extended periods of time, where in NEXT they'd eventually return, in Beyond they simply don't show up (or I maybe I just missed them repeatedly, since they disappeard in mid air)

That is an annoyance when doing ship hunting, but in that case can be worked around by using Trade Outposts. What can't be worked around, though, is getting mats only available from the Traders landing in the Space Station, since they have big and varied inventories.

I wish HG would restore the variety of Trader inventories outside of Space Stations as it was before NEXT. And fix the bug with ships disappearing / not showing up at all.

I haven't even seen ships try to land in stations. Hope this gets fixed quickly.
Yes, it happened as soon as I got my new Freighter. In Starbases all ships are about to land then vanish. Someone said it has something to do with getting the Freighter which makes sense cos it never happened before I got mine.

A very obvious bug that blows immersion.

Pre-BEYOND; parking your freighter close to the Space Station in fact drained Traders from the Space Station, especially if you had enough free landing spots on your freighter.

I don't own a freighter, yet, but still am experiencing the drain up to what Laterali and I described.
Even before I got my freighter, there was no traffic in stations. When I would go to the sales point in the side room (on the
equipment vendors side), I'd hear ships landing. When I was done selling my wares and left the room, as soon as the new doors opened, six ships would blast off and leave. The station turned back into a ghost town.

I have seen this happen a few times too.

I think its when they are landing on the pads closest to the walkway, and because the ships are scaled bigger they clip the station / walkway structure and vanish somehow.

I sent a Zendesk report in .. Whether they are still fixing Zendesk reports or not is anyones guess, no responses to any of my reports since Beyond (and the ones I sent in after Next was released), and there are a lot of extant bugs from a few years ago now which have never been fixed (I read carefully all patch lists in case they do one day get around to fixing those reports).

I get that they have to pioritise crashes / game breaking bugs first, but it was the same last year after major udates, they fixed the crashes, fixed a heap of other bugs that the most recent update also broke, but the extant bugs from the previous years round of major updates were once again left not fixed.

I live in hope that they will one day concentrate on a polishing update which targets all outstanding bugs, but every time there is any kind of poll the majority of players vote for more shiny stuff, which puts polishing the game at the back of the priorities again. I feel the single player exploration focussed game (which is why I bought this game back in 2016) is also being left in the lurch too.

Ships not showing up in Space stations is not only limited to Space stations - If you play single player, the new Anomaly Nexus has a lot of empty landing pads. That place is supposed to be about Multi-player and meeting people, but you would think for single player mode they would have random NPC visitors. Reminds me of the planet sized station in the old Forbidden Planet film, mostly an empty shell even though still functional and awesome in its scale, left behind by a mysterious extinct race, and now tended to by only a few inhabitants.

While almost every time over the past week (when I bought NMS Beyond), I have always seen ships coming, stopping, then leaving, the space stations, until just now! I've always been able to go over to the pilots, and buy/sell stuff, or make an offer on their ship. Now that I really need to get something that I might be able to buy from another pilot, I find that they are arriving, then just as they are about to land, they disappear. :(

EDIT. I restarted the game, and I'm see ships in the space station again. They are landing and not disappearing any more. :)

Have not played yesterday or today yet, but I can confirm - before I got my freighter, and while I had it, this has been a very present issue. Sometimes though, one or two ships would still come in and land... or attempt to, either disappearing right before touching down, or freezing mid-landing. Other times, as described above, I came from one of the back rooms and witnessed 6 ships simultaneously lifting off the pads and leaving the station completely empty. So with or without freighter, this was a bug I noticed.
Unrelated to freighter (I don't have any, don't need), however I've run into this issue ever since Update v2.09.

I'm not so far in the game to judge this misbehavior of ships, but in Steam forums (tech section) it is said to resolve if you re-install game completly, some remaining files from one update to the next on your HD could cause this havoc.
I would try to completly uninstall keeping the savegames, and wipe all remaining files, then re-install.

I originally verified and deleted cache form appdata and main folder... this worked for a time but the bug came back... doing a full reinstall now, there were 30 files remaining in install location and 2 cache files in appdata wiped those and called down a fresh copy from Galaxy. (i had some files from years ago)

After a full Galaxy install it didn't fix it.

did a full verification and didn't fix it.

set graphics to high instead of ultra and i got 3 of 9 ships to land. coincidence maybe? still had many disappear on me

That's too bad :(
Make sure you do a Zendesk report (NMS homepage > Support), the devs are currently awaiting and busy in bug fixing, newer versions will come out soon.

It is possible that older savegames will influence the play-out of a fresh game start after updating. In my case: I start the game not in Euklid but in Budullangr galaxy. Only explanation I have is that 1 of my old saves also take place in Budullangr. Definitly not normal, but I'm just too lazy to wipe out all my saves and restart, I will go on unless I find other major bugs, in which case I will do it.

We just gotta wait for HG to fix it. It`s a glaring enough problem that i`m quite confident they`ll have it sorted in a few days.

Yeah, acumulating technical dept, and if out of options, axe.
