Since the patch, I've had no connection to online discovery services. Team play has been... intermittent at best. My discoveries aren't showing up at all. Am I the only one this is happening to, or is this a known issue?

Known recurring issue. One local and very short term fix is to launch game, disconnect from Internet, restore Internet and you will be connected for a minute or maybe three. We have to wait for HG to sort this out on their end.
There is connection if you launch GoG Galaxy before launching the game, but inside game you get the red circle which is false. What you don't get currently are community missions that reward quicksilver, that's because there are none, the devs are busy with patching and don't care for CE missions for now.

That is not all. You also dont get daily quicksilver missions, which are normal random nexus missions that may only be completed once per day, reward quicksilver instead of credits/nanites and are marked as golden in the nexus mission list. The devs dont have to do anything about them; they are random. But you wont get them without contacting their server first (to verify the availability of the missions for the day, else you would be able to get as many as you wanted by tampering with the system clock, as you can do with all local timers such as the Melody of the Egg mission ones).

You also dont get updated quicksilver-bot information, such as the new quicksilver items being unlocked and their progress so far. Instead, the qs-bot list will remain at the state it was the last time you had connection to the online discovery services servers.

Thanks so much for this piece of info! I'm a new player that just reached the Anomaly/Nexus and I've been trying to figure out how to get the daily Quicksilver missions. Disconnecting WiFi and then reconnecting did the trick and I was finally able to upload my discoveries and accept the daily mission.

Since the discovery services have persistently been "down", I thought for sure my Pi-hole was the source of the problem but after verifying none of the NMS domains were being blocked, I'd completely run out of ideas. When researching, all I could find were posts about how it acts up shortly after a major patch and to wait it out but that just didn't seem right in this case.

Hopefully this gets addressed soon but at least there's a workaround in the meantime.

I tried that, and it, unfortunately, didn't work for me. Frustrating. But I'll just have to wait for a fix. Not the end of the world. Just irksome.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!
In the last 2 days I still got the golden Nexus missions that reward 250 QS.but i haven't started them, not interesting enough for me.
You can tell that the other main QS missions are available again by watching the pier bar in your CE mission log. If it's not full anymore there are new missions available, else not. And without game connection you wouldn't see this mission in your log, which is proof that your connection is ok.
That's it, we need to wait for new QS missions, it's not a question of your connection.

Misery loves company... glad I'm not alone! :)
The latest patch appears to have solved all connectivity problems causing the unavailability of daily qs missions.

Thanks for the confirmation!

I saw a couple of posts earlier today that are now dated 10 hours ago on the Steam forum with users having success but I haven't been able to get in the game and verify it myself yet.
Well, the patch tid not do much for me. Connection broke off after 2 QS Missions and has not been reestablished. Just tried it - does not work. No Quicksilver Missions, no Research Progress...
Try to restart GoG Galaxy and then launch the game. For me it worked fine for the whole game session, which lasted a couple of hours. I hope the servers didnt break down again.

Tried that. Did not help either. I suppose server breakdown.
Hey, i had the same problem today: no connection to online discovery services, no qs mission, no community research.

But i followed CheweyWeAreNotHome's trick, and remarkably it worked!

Disconnecting from the internet and reconnecting grants a few seconds/minutes of connection to online discovery services, which is enough to initiate qs mission from the Nexus if you are already standing in front of it before performing the trick.

After embarking on the quest, you can complete it on your leisure; connection to online discovery services is not required to complete it and get the reward.

Thanks CheweyWeAreNotHome!

The problem is with Hello Games' discovery servers so patches will not correct this.

You can also see this in the Galactic Atlas where progress for PC community research cannot be loaded and this sometimes applies to either or both of the consoles.
