Vilhelm_Byte: Tried EVERYTHING in this post, downloaded NMS 1.1 standalone installation and tried with it again and still the same problem... game doesn't launch. Am I the only one? I've tryed installing 1.09.1 with the installer and game works smooth perfect but somthing is wrong with this foundation update for me. I have Windows 10 and a GTX 970 with lastest 376.09 drivers.

PD: my %APPDATA%\Local\Temp dump files are always telling me this message no matter what I've tried:

Nope... Same for me :/

Weird thing, I got the SAME config " Windows 10 and a GTX 970 with lastest 376.09 drivers".. Don't know if it's linked but... Ugh... I wanted to give this game a chance :/
avatar
SecondMan: I tried all of the above, as well as installing the latest NVidia drivers, reducing graphics settings, to no avail.

Until I deleted TKGAMESETTINGS.MXML (I renamed it to .backup just in case) in Binaries/SETTINGS in the install dir. Hurray! Everything works! :)

Seems to be something to do with remapped controls. Maybe a syntax change or something?

In any case, I'm up and running again - hope it also works for some people here.

Cheers!
Thanks a lot, this was also the fix for me! Your post saved me a lot of time and anger, thanks!!
Don't delete/disable all files though, otherwise NMS won't start at all.

Do you have TeamViewer or some similar screen sharing software installed?

I also had this problem until i read the following on the No Man's Sky support page:
"In some cases, 3rd party remote desktop or screen sharing software will have installed their own custom monitor drivers that are not supported and can cause issues."

I uninstalled TeamViewer and then No Man's Sky starts up just fine. Still a bit of an issue though since i do want to have TeamViewer on my PC... ^^

I can verify that this fixed my issue (except I only uninstalled the Display Driver that you can install in Team Viewer)

Thanks Omattlig!!!

THANK YOU!!! You're right! It's a problem with TeamViewer display driver, I hope Hello Games fix it but at least I can now play this foundation update ^^

PROBLEM SOLVED! :D
Ok, once the game has started first time you can reinstall TeamViewer and it'll keep working :) I've tested it with everything at "High" and "Ultra" settings and works fine. Motion blur at ultra drops the performance but it's very smooth at high.

Good for you :D !

But the problem is still here for me :/

No Teamviewer or something like that... Ugh..
