I cann't alt-tab back to the game as well, but i found solution. (workaround)

When you alt-tab from game do the following:

1.. open task manager
2..go to the no man's sky in task manager
3. double click so it will reveal drop down menu
4. Right - click on no man's sky in second level on dropdown menu and select "switch to"

This works for me and I am able to go back to no man's sky in win10.

eskoth: It's running a lot better than Windows 7 ever did and I've not really had any issues with it. Besides, if one wants to actually take advantage of modern technology, including for gaming, very soon it will be the only game in town. The issues are not with Windows 10
Modern technology is taken advantage of across the globe with many operating systems other than Microsoft Windows. In fact, the highest cutting-edge technologies used for the most important jobs almost never use Windows at all. As far as gaming, it's got the lead but not really because it's better. It's just because of the market share it gnabbed decades ago.

Set the game to borderless, then you can alt-tab without issues.

I have no problem tabbing out but tabbing back is iffy. Sometimes it will sometimes it won`t. Doing the above guarantees you`ll get back in - At least on my pc.
