nipsen: 1.07 ps4 is based on the 1302131 build from about two weeks ago.

Which is stupendously fast for a patch-approval at Sony.

The return times for sorting out problems based on feedback - that admittedly Sony q&a folks were paid, by our money, to find - is also very short. Normally when you're dealing with engine tweaks (rather than typos in the text-files), this is a different coding path - and HG has an efficient enough team to do it at the same time. After sorting through unstructured feedback from users.

Because remember that what you have in the experimental build now is what they sorted out after 1 week. I'll try to contain my fanboy admiration here, but I've "worked with" enough developers as a tester to know how comically unusual this is.
As a former game developer, I am impressed with the speed in which they are trying to fix the issues. I have seen some games where the fix is worse for the game then the problem it was trying to fix. Kudos to Hello Games for the fast work.

Maybe the Head dev feels guilty and wants to make up for the trust people had in them before it`s too late? Well, let`s hope they continue this.

Xerojenix: Well, that's labelled as PS4 patch 1.07
I must admit that you're right. Looks like I got fooled by the hope to get that patch anytime soon...
There are updates on NMS official site.

According to what they wrote, they *released* 4 patches for both PS4 and PC.
Looks like the new patch is out of 'experimental' state and regardless of build number, it will be 1.07.

I suppose GOG will name the package GOG-6 and the exe 2.3.0.6 at this point, but who knows for sure?
Thanks for the updated info so I've switched back to release branch now. I've also made it a habit to empty the "SHADERCACHE" folder when there are new patches/drivers.

I also realised that they patched the Alt+Tab probs in the first patch. Haven't tried till now but definietely works.

And from my interpretation the 1.07 on GOG must be the 1.07 from PS4 Their numbering started at 1.04. (To be more precise they differ a bit because PC and PC hardware had more specific fixing to do)

You should take a look at this for detailed information: http://www.no-mans-sky.com/log/

I'm impressed by the effort they put in supporting older CPUs:

Thousands of lines of assembly have been rewritten to support AMD CPUs. The game code no longer relies on anything above SSE 2,
Non-Galaxy users should get the patch on Monday....
