Seems it's got a lot of fixes in it:

Thanks to user /u/BloodChildKoga/ , for explaining how to use it on GoG:

If you're on GoG instead of steam on Galaxy if you go to No Man's Sky > Settings > Turn on Beta channels > Add Channel > Type 3xperimental > and then choose Experimental Beta from the drop down you can load this build on GoG as well.
The channel contains something now, at least :)

Ah thanks, didn't see that last part.
Buut.. we're still on the August 22nd patch.

(and they fixed the toxin protection theta typo - omg, everything is all right now :p lol)
To be honest I`m waiting for gameplay features, etc. Never had a problem running the game...

But I`m a patience man.
...actually, the fixes mentioned in that recently edited post on steam are present in the August 22nd update here on gog. So ..presumably it's the latest one.

*thumbs*

Can also report a magnificent reduction of blur-filter, a more sane allocation of graphics card and virtual ram, and overall framerate increase. Less of the dramatic fps-drops as well.
I'm most interested in the thrown-into-air-bugfix I've already experienced several times and easier scanning of birds also sounds cool. Well let's see ... gonna give it a try ...

Same here never had any problems no stutter no crashes, im also patience and wait for some new content(affraid that will take while they are way to small indie developer).
Still needs more fixes, I've only been using the experimental 1.07 for a few days and already reported a lot of in-game bugs that were not in the release before. So if anything, they are busying fixing a lot of bugs still.

For new folks to the 3xperimental branch like myself , after you enter in 3xperimental in the box to unlock the branch, make sure you chech the list again and you will see an experimental beta branch option as I just did that and now it is downloading a 1.3 GB update.

Even though I have it set to manually install updates it automatically started downloading the update after I did the above so not sure if that is a first time thinng from changing from default beta to experimental beta or what but thought I would pass on the information to new folks like myself that are using the experimental beta option on gog client for the first time.

Sigh... Why do I get the feeling we will be waiting at least 3 months before we get some real good stuff?

If my experience with games is anything to go by, it usually takes 3 months before anything of substance really begins to happen. I used to have a policy of not buying games until 3 months after release. I bloody went against my own rules. I really must learn to stop doing that. :(

At least it seems probable that we're not going to see a progressively worse game over time. With more and more weird gameplay tweaks to answer increasingly strange complaints. At least judging by what they've focused on so far.
According to http://www.no-mans-sky.com/news/ the 1.07 patch is out since August 30, 2016 (that's yesterday). I guess they need a few hours at GOG.com to make it availabe for download. But I guess that's just a matter of hours now...

Well, that's labelled as PS4 patch 1.07
1.07 ps4 is based on the 1302131 build from about two weeks ago.

Which is stupendously fast for a patch-approval at Sony.

The return times for sorting out problems based on feedback - that admittedly Sony q&a folks were paid, by our money, to find - is also very short. Normally when you're dealing with engine tweaks (rather than typos in the text-files), this is a different coding path - and HG has an efficient enough team to do it at the same time. After sorting through unstructured feedback from users.

Because remember that what you have in the experimental build now is what they sorted out after 1 week. I'll try to contain my fanboy admiration here, but I've "worked with" enough developers as a tester to know how comically unusual this is.
