While tantrums are bad, so is complete lack of information whether it will be released on GOG today at all.

Not cool, GOG! :@

corran109: People will always take days off for games/updates. This is just a how things go. They should have expected that.

I don't require parity if one condition is met: Communcation. Something we're sorely lacking at this point. A lot of us are unsure if we even get the update at this point, because GOG can't even say "you will get the update".

nullzero: That approach is risky. Perhaps consider taking the day after release off work instead of the release day?

Hello Games noted that the release date for the update is the 24/07/2018, so they will hit that target assuming that it will be released here today.
It is risky, which is why I didn't take today off. But I understand the sentiment of those who do. I've taken the time off for other games before.

Talidan: How entitled do you have to be to say a company should "expect" you to take the day off work to play their game?

Just relax, friend.
It's not entitlement. It's a thing that happens. For every game. A company would have to be blind to expect it to not happen. I'm not sitting here expecting them to cater to every whim. I just want more than zero communication.

pyth0n1ze: Remember that GOG is Good Old Games. Technically it isn't supposed to be in sync with other platforms...

NmS NEXT will be, when it will be.
They stopped calling themselves Good Old Games a while ago. Specifically when they decided to sell new games. They're just GOG now.

Instgtr: It doesn't bother me that it's late - it DOES really PISS ME OFF that GOG is not letting anyone know what the hell is going on - they are VERY close to losing me as a customer - if they don't give a f--k about us - then why should they get any loyalty from us???
I quite agree.
I've noticed previously that GOG usually seems to get updated after Steam for NMS, and I'm not sure why they don't sort this out as it doesn't incline me to buy any more games through GOG.

Yes it's a trivial thing, but it clearly differentiates the two platforms.

Met too! GOG! Did you forgot, how long we had to wait for patch for running NMS on PHenom processors?! SAY SOMETHING!
I usually don't mind that GOG is late with updates but man it sucks when you're hyped for something.
So Steam has had the update for over an hour now and GOG still doesn't have it - must be waiting for Christmas...

It's now officially EIGHT hours late...

I'm really relaxed and enjoying a nice game of ARK Survival Evolved, it doesn't change the fact that I am disappointed by the fact that I was willing to give them a second chance but as of yet they blew it once again.

I antisipated this happening with the GOG version. Since I already own a ps4 I went last week and bought ps4 version of the game for 20 bucks. At least I can play the update minus the multiplayer aspect.(no plans to pay $60 for playstation plus)
well, i've bought no man's sky on release day and i'm not even mad waiting a couple of hours more. u should calm down and relax too. it is just a update for a silly game and your excitement will vanish in a couple of days anyway.

Sorry Kiba, but it's not that the game is late that's bothering me - it's that GOG doesn't have the time to sit down and send a message to us that they are doing what they can to make this happen as quickly as possible - GOG KNEW that this update was coming out - if they're not, they SHOULD be watching what's going on - I'm pissed at GOG - NOT Hello Games - I'm about ready to go buy the game ffrom Steam (They've had it for over an hour) and tell GOG that I want a refund because of their lousy service - which I bought and paid for - Ignoring people is what got HG into hot water and now GOG has gone the same route - Am I Pissed??? DAMN right I am!!!! I work hard for my money and "sevice" is really important to me... and GOG's service is a NEGATIVE 64 on a scale of 1 to 10....
Hmm... I just wait a day or so. I have enough games to keep me busy for months, so I do not really care when the update is made available. I will see it when it's here, and when that's the case I do the install.

So - I take it easy. I simply feel no need to get upset about a game, and when updates gets available. I know it will be there eventually, and until then I have enough stuff to keep me busy in a pleasant way.
