In the bioderm facility, it sasys "right click for BGW donor information" or something to that effect - yet right clicking does nothing.

I remember back in the day that ther used to be a lot of background lore behind the bioderms, and I'm kind of sad we currently can't acces them. Hoping this gets fixed, sometime, if possible.

Can confirm this is the case that nothing appears. I dont recall where it would display the history.
Can confirm.
right click does not work. sad. remember dimly and fondly some nice fluff

Also:
Same with 2 of the tutorial options in HQ:
strategy tips + initial walkthrough do not work.

Furthermore:
The "manual" mentions the real manual as on-line manual.
To access via <?> button in game (where?) or <?> via keyboard. (no joy wth german keyboard)

Anyone found it ?

really hope there will be a patch.

It was a nice game.
I've also run into these issues. It seems none of the full pop-up windows for the bios or tutorials work. The game tries to do something, but it just can't.

The online manual was in old save game format and doesnt work on modern Windows anymore, but there in a patch for the retail version in the net and the newest version (v7) has them compiled in modern helpfile format and you can just extract it from the exe and click them.

Yup, you can totally just extract the new CHM files from my RBXIT Win7 patches and open them... and they work great that way... but... this thread caught my attention because I realized that I didn't test this particular feature with the new help files (in my patch, not this GOG copy). Most in-game links to the new help files work, but these Bioderm bio links require linking to sub-page links on the Bioderm Biographies page. And, well, links like that don't work yet, and I didn't yet know I needed to solve that problem. So, thanks for that info, @Eligos.

Note: I'm not talking about this GOG release. I'm just talking about my RBXIT Win7 patch that has been out for a few years now. I don't know anything about this GOG copy yet.

I'm not sure how to solve this problem yet. Writing tools to recompile the help files was a ton more work than fixing the game itself, or so it seems. And, considering that topic links and subtopic links from CSTORM look exactly the same, it could be really hard to automate a solution for this with how CHM files work. I will likely have to create redirect stubs for each suptopic. That's no small automation task.

Do you have the text in a format you could just do a text dump somewhere? I'm kind of curious about these bioderm biographies now, and don't want to make another Windows XP virtual machine to check if I don't have to. :-P
in my patched version of Cyberstorm (not the GOG version), you still can't read bioderm bios from in-game, at least last I tried.

I'm not sure about .CHM files, but my disc saved the digital manual as an .mvb file, only openable by a 16-bit application bundled in the same folder. I can run it just fine on a 32-bit XP VM, though.

I actually found them online, scroll down/search for "Bioderm history"
https://www.giantbomb.com/missionforce-cyberstorm/3030-334/

Not quite the same as reading them in game but at least they're available somewhere!

Edit: Apparently it is incomplete and has some weird errors. But better than nothing, I suppose.
