omgzed: so I just stumbled upon Wizards & Warriors in the gog store, any of yall got experiences with that?
It is good RPG, which is similar to Might and Magic VI-IX. I strongly recommend it to all Might and Magic fans.
sweet, is it viable / playable in real time though? feel like the turn based combats too slow for me these days

It has very swift paced turn based combat. But it is still turn-based. It also has quite elaborate dungeons, so it is more in vein of Might and Magic VI than the later games in MM series.

Looks like it might be fun. What's makes up a good party to start with? Thanks.

That might be a question better suited for Wizards & Warriors board. I didn't play Wizards & Warriors for ages, but I think I had thread there about party and class changes.

There is class change system in place. And if you want to have absolute best party, you need to follow strict leveling scheme. In the end, your party will be able to wear everything and cast any spell.

If you are not min-maxer, then you can make any party you want. Level cap is very high, so you can always make up for the weaknesses in your party by getting few more levels.
