throgh: Why buying on Steam? There is no difference either treated here as second-class customer or there dealing with unneeded DRM-system. For me then it is better letting this game pass!

trusteft: I have a feeling this is entirely GOG's fault. They do not have their #%$@ Galaxy client for Linux yet, and the publisher wants the client to work as DRM for the online component of the game. When/if GOG releases the client for Linux, the game might appear here too. Of course it will be interesting to see then if the game will REQUIRE the client for the Linux version, even for single player.
The day this happens is my last one here at GOG because then they have broken with everything they promised. DRM-free? Some kind of silly joke therefore. This game should have never been released here!
I installed and play the game on Linux with Wine.
My system configuration:
Kubuntu 20.10
wine-5.0 (Ubuntu 5.0-3ubuntu1)
with packages:
d3dx10
d3dx9
devenum
dmband
dmime
dmstyle
dmsynth
dmusic
dxdiag
dxdiagn_feb2010
gmdls
vcrun2005
vcrun2008
vcrun2010

Perhaps some packages are superfluous, but I bring everything that I have in Wine.

Download setup files for Windows.
Open console and execute:
wine setup_master_of_orion_55.1.1_2.1.41258_locfix_\(11709\).exe
Installation fails, but the game is working correctly. At least in single player mode. I don't play multiplayer.
