Yes, it's exactly the same with me...

Well, but seriously, is there anything we fans can do to increase the chances for a remake?
you guys need to master game making your selfs, and then remake it exactly as you like. sell it for 60 bucks a pop, and hopefully make millions of dollars so you can retire at 35.
Gosh, I visit gog way too rarely o.O

Yah, why not. That would simplify my life planning a lot :D
But actually, trying to create a fan remake would probably really be the only possibility of getting one... Perhaps I should study Games Engineering instead of Math^^ Well, actually, if one could find some computer scientists or guys who, at least, study that and are interested, it would maybe really be possible to at least give such a project a try. Or what do you think?

i would like to make a game. in fact, i used to plan out my own adventure games that i could program with that delphi thing(probably getting the name wrong) if anyone remember that old coding software. Never got farther then the planning stage though. bummer.

cool, thus there is already two of us ;) Yes, finishing planning and actually starting to put your ideas into practice is always the most difficult thing, I experienced that often yet...
I don't know this delphi stuff, could you link a wikipedia entry on it or somthing like that? Some years ago I sometimes worked with RPG Maker a little bit, perhaps you know that, a tool to create your own FFVII-like RPG. That's far from real programming/coding, of course, but by now I've learnt the basics of Java at university

i used to love rpg maker! such fun for a young man! never did complete my projects though, wasn't interested enough to make anything of it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delphi_programming_language

also known as object pascal aparently.

Oh, cool ;) Yes, absolutely the same with me... lots of ideas, not enough motivation and/or time and then your projects remain unfinished^^ Well, wouldn't a Lionheart remake project be an excellent candidate for a first project that does not end up incomplete, then? ;D

Ah okay, thank you. Sounds interesting. Dind't hear about that before, I only know a bit of java since last year, as I said. Not much, but better than nothing I'd say^^

if they remade lionheart, they'd have to redo some of the story too, from what i've heard. better to just make a sequel.

You think so? In my opinion you could use the story almost as it is in the remake, you'd only have to use the entire potential it had.
A sequel... hm, difficult. The various endings in Lionheart differ widely in how they change the world. For exmaple, if the sequel continues after the usual bittersweet/good ending, it would be very likely that the endboss of lionheart returns as your enemy in the sequel. This, however, would make absolutely no sense with the best possible good ending (which afaik many players played). Thus you'd have to choose one of the endings of Lionheart as the canoical ending the sequel builds upon, and that's something I personally don't like at all, because it somehow destroys the variety of endings of the old game.

or you could just use each ending to make a new begging, and the several beggnings converge into one storyline after a while.

Yes, that would be a good solution, though it would be still difficult to make all the beginnings converge, e.g. some endings of Lionheart would allow to continue the story with your old hero, others not (do you know the different endings of Lionheart? I could tell you, if you do not fear the spoilers ;))

i don't know the endings myself, but in my opinion, a creative mind could make just about anything work. if someone dies, they didn't REALLY die you just think they did! or if some one makes a decision that leads him down a radically different path, he has a twin who shows up and continues in his place with all his characterristics and personality niches.

Yes, you have a point. But the question is, then, whether you actually want to give up things that happened in the endings. Some of them are so good that I would be quite disappointed if they'd be changed just for creating an addon with a probably even less well-made story.
Perhaps it would really simplify things if you knew the endings so I could show you what I mean concretely^^

By the way: Merry Christmas! :D

merry Christmas to you too! I'll have to finish the game a couple of times and find the endings for myself!

Thanks! You're right, that's always the best way ;) Enjoy playing!
