I don't know if I'm the only one having a problem with this, but here goes.
The game runs fine, the sound is good, and the video is great...but whenever I click on save or restore, the game crashes. Has anyone else had this problem?

yup, I'm getting the same problem - crashes when i click save, anyone have any ideas? I'm running Windows 7 if that might help...

I'm actually using Windows Vista 32-bit. I tried both actions, and they didn't work.
I'm windows 7 and both ideas didnt work, thanks for the suggestions though.

I was thinking it might be a permissions issue and in that case Win7 or Vista is basically the same, but maybe that's not the issue.
Tried other compatibility settings on the shortcut, like XP SP3 maybe ?
Same problem, Win 7.
Running as administrator and changing the compatibility settings to xp or vista don't work.

Same problem. On Windows 7, Tried running as admin, and changing compatibility settings. Nothing worked. :/
I think I know what the issue is. I tried running it in a virtual machine on XP, and clicked restore game. It opened up a windows explorer box, like what most programs use when you click save or load. Try loading up paint and click save, it's that sort of box.
I have the exact same problem in The Incredible Machine 3.
I'm guessing whatever was changed in Vista/7 causes some games and programs to just outright crash when it attempts to open a windows explorer box.
I'm also experiencing this issue. Right now I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and all my other GOG games are running perfectly fine. This is a shame, I was looking forward to playing this. I haven't played a Journeyman Project game in ages.
I'm playing on Windows 7 as admin.
Come on now GOG! Help us out here :( Need some kindof work around for this save bug issue :(
infinite sadness.
Same.. I played for a while before I decided to save then it just crashed .. frustrating.
