For GOG and 3DR digital download (and big box) owners that haven't been able to install the latest update to their products yet, there are stand alone patchers available now that will update v1.00, v1.01, or v1.02 up to v1.1 here:

In order to use the patch to update the 3DR big box version, you'll need to go back to your USB thumb drive and grab the fury-nodrm.bin file from the Linux folder (or zip file) and place it in your game directory. The patcher requires that fury-nodrm.exe, fury-nodrm.bin, fury.grp, and fury.grpinfo are all present in the same location.

I finally recieved a reply from the GOG support. I don't know what to say. This whole situation is just totally fucked up.

Why yes... GOG is. They've had the update files in their possession for nearly a month now. Fortunately, the devs do care more than GOG does and have gone out of their way to create the stand alone updates posted above that you can use to get the latest version installed without waiting for GOG any longer.

We "mustn't" comment? something about the wording feels off, it's an update for a game, not classified information jeez xD

did gog ever mention what exactly the problem is with applying the patch to their build of the game?

Just for the Hell of it, I thought I'd try asking GOG why the update has not been made available yet. This is the response that I received:

Honestly, a quick post from a gog staff member in here would at least ensure, and show, that they are aware and working on the issue. The silence is not going to help anything, only cause more frustration.
