michael.ch: keys are used automatically. when i remember right, every door in the iron mines can be destroyed with weapons. so you don't need keys.
Thanks

AlCapone: hello,

enjoying the game so far but now i cant progress. i have vallarian imprisoned and he confessed under torture and said i should go to jeremiah for burning him. but jeremiah doesnt have any dialog option to do so as it was with sam riehmann.

is this a bug or is there anything left i didnt find out?

thanks a lot
I have just the same problem, and unfortunately no one answered so far to don Capone's post. I can't burn Vallarian, though I have all the evidence, and I already tried to torture him (no result). Jeremiah simply doesn't have a corresponding dialog line to start the trial. It seems that some in-game trigger is broken. Can anyone help with that one?

Have you already talked to the bishop about the corpse of the girl and Vallarian?
I did that too, yes.

Van_Doom: I did that too, yes.
And did you try to use an older savegame before you arrest Vallarian?
Have you tried to put down both parts of the dagger and then take them again?

Unfortunately I my previous save is from the first level of the Iron Mines, and that's a motherload of stuff to do again :(

But I will try picking up the dagger parts again, yes.

UPD. The plan with the dagger parts didn't help. I guess going from the earlier save is my only option now?

Now, I have 2 problems that I dont seem to be able to sort out:

1. I cannot find anyone to inspect the body of the girl in Act 2. The bishop from Act 1 does not want to do it. Nobody else inteds to do so in Act 2 from what I searched.

2. I hope the first question is not related to this one: I talked to DiCerbio before I was ready to arrest him or something like that and he run away (he said he is not that stupid to wait for me to come and arrest him - the stupid one was obviously me). Anyway, happened a few days ago, I think I killed him in the Robers Village or somewhere around there without talking to him (maybe some area spells did the job) and I think I wont be able to visit the Devil's Cavern, solve the hammer quest and so on. Happened to anyone else? Any solution?

PS. Any solution that does not involve replaying on a 2 days ago, 15 hours game play old save (which I dont have), please. Can I revive him or something? (I think I remember where his body is).

Van Doom, search some more. Have the body checked by the bishop you saved, make sure you accused everyone involved (the baroness and the stupid guy). Generally, re-talk with everyone ion your game - I did it so many times and it solved my problems almost everytime (almost as you can read a little up).

bodies are needed in act 3.
i think, some beggar tells about devil's cavern too. when i played, i had it on the map before the quest with dicerbio, when i remember right.
I got the fact that bodies are needed in act 3 from this forum, but I have to solve some quests in act 2 concerning that body (the bartender sister, the kid that was into smithing, the master paladin that wants me to do the girls quests for him). Shall I give them up or I have a chance to solve them if the beggar tells me. Witch I doubt. Unless the devil's caves are not on one of the 3 eastern old empire ruins in a hidden trapdoor - The only thing I could do and did not finish in act 2 is the Colosseum dungeon as I finished the 3 maps looking for some keys witch obviously do not exist. But I doubt that is the one :(

And no, I dont have a cross on any of them.

Btw, in my stupidity, I think I wont be able to find mandrake as well. Will check again when at home.

I talked to every single NPC I can talk to till the only thing I can say to them is @That's all, goodbye" :)

The bishop already checked the body, I mentioned that earlier I believe. I did everything needed for burning Vallarian, but alas, Jeremiah still doesn't have the proper lines for that.

I wonder if there is some sort of console command to turn on the necessary trigger manually, like in Fallout or TES games.

I have no idea.

Let us check:

you accused the baroness and she said she was poisoned by him. You have both parts of the broken dagger and the checked by bishop young girl body. If so you should be able to get the warrant for the arrest, he flees to the demonic ritual place in dragon rock and he kills you there a few times until you find a way to beat him (I advice proper signs like fire wall) Also the guy who said he has seen Valerius droping something near the wall of the city and here there was part of the dagger.

If you killed thesheppard, I think you made the game impossible to advance, as in my case in act 2 with killing the evil merchant DiCerbio (at least this guy looked as he was aggressive, why on earth would you kill a poor shepard locked inside his house dreaming about extremes with his special ship that seems to like 1k years old undead better. I think his life was bad enough already.) Anyway, I think he works as a witness in the trial - he wont be there actually, his testimony.

That aside guys, anyone lost DiCerbio and could go on with his game? I really love this game and I would love a solution that does not mean to replay 50 hours right now. I am sure I will play again but now I am eagger to continue.

Btw, czeck guys rulz. I haven't felt so good about a game for many years (aside for replaying Baldurs gate and Fallout 2 recently). Me bows here. Anyway, I love the difficulty, I love the dialogues, I love most things and I hated it so many times that my love is clear. But I dont like to be stuck. Any way to edit/console something to solve the problem?

Yes, the baroness died in my hands telling me she was poisoned by Vallarian, and Rupert the shepard is alive and almost healthy (apart from his eyesight of course). I have the body and both dagger parts. I already burned the town's mason at stake for helping in summoning ritual after he told me while on a rack that this was Vallarian's plan.
Later I fought Vallarian at the demonic ritual place (easy one, his servants were tough, but he alone is easily stunned by the Crucifix spell). Now Vallarian is into custody, I already tried to torture him to no avail, and damned brother Jeremiah doesn't let me any options.

Lucky you who already are at Act 2 or 3 :(

Sorry, that was someone a few pages back that said he killed the sheppard (btw, are you sure he testified when he gave you the dagger hilt?)

If all that is true, I cant see what you are missing. It worked for me. Talk again with the paladin chief and the bishop, just in case.
