Hello, maybe somebody here can help me out.
So, I'm in the High Ateliers and close to finishing the game. Since there are multiple endings, I wanted to make a copy of the save file, play one ending, then "reload" and play another, and so on. But after testing it I discovered that there are "online" and "offline" save files, and that the "online" save will always be the one last synchronised with the GOG cloud. In other words, my solution (which I remember using with Dark Souls, by the way) isn't going to work.
Is there anything I can do to avoid having to replay the game 2/3 more times? Because I've spent over 40 hours in it already and I don't think I like this game enough to do it all over again.
What I came up with, after snooping around in the forums, is to "convert" my online save file into an offline save (I'm not exactly sure how it's done, though...), make copies of that, play with GoG Galaxy off, and then proceed as originally planned; after I'm done, play the game again through GoG Galaxy and let the achievements get registered. However, I'm worried that in that case the achievements won't pop, because they would have been obtained offline and they wouldn't exist in the online save file.
Does anybody have any advice?
