I have been having performance issues since getting Forgotten Gods as well.

Per one of the suggestions here I have switched from fullscreen to windowed borderless mode and the performance has drastically improved.

A lot of people said that since the last update/dlc there were a lot of crashes when ice magic/skill were used.
I made a complete new char(Oathkeeper so no ice for me) and finished the first chapter no crashes at all.

Have had 2 crashes to desktop this morning, running the 32-bit version. Can confirm that the crashes started when I got some ice skills on my Oathkeepers armor, no crashes for 5 hours yesterday, when not having ice skills

Just got 4 lock-ups (Grim Dawn becomes unresponsive and needs to be closed, but windows is fine) in the space of 5-10 minutes (and I'm running the 32-bit executable). Locked up during "Amarasta's blade burst" animation in all 4 cases (dual wielding).

I had previous freezes, but I'm not sure if it was during the usage of the same above ability as I wasn't paying attention.

This is the first time I've experienced such instability in Grim Dawn...I'm not sure if it is the Forgotten Gods expansion, or simply one of the newer patches that might be causing problems. In any case I'll wait for a fix first before continuing.

This is a problem with freezing/chilling effects, not only on your char but if a boss hits you with such effects, it can crash also.

According to devs, fix is already up on Steam and coming here only tomorrow :(

Hi,

For me the 32-bit Grim Dawn executable has been working ok. So thank you Fate for the suggestion.

Also, I am running a Nightblade / Amarasta Blade Burst and had no freezing issues so far.

Awaiting the patch from the devs for the 64-bit version, then.

Thanks for the info, that is good news.

I'm kind of used to GOG lagging behind steam in updates, so an extra days wait isn't all that bad.

Latest patch seem to have solved my crashes so far, been playing for 2+ hours without any problems yet. I am really impressed with the devs to solve the problem this fast. :)

Game is crashing with update 1.1.0.1 Hotfix 1 for me so I am NOT even at the part of installing forgotten gods. 1.1.0.0 works perfectly fine but as soon as I install 1.1.0.1 hotfix 1 it crashes when I try and launch the game and this is making 0 sense to me

Basically 1.1.0.1 Hotfix 1 and newer just crash when I try and launch the game. Forgotten Gods or not it doesn't matter as Base game 1.1.0.0+update to 1.1.0.1 hot fix 1 crashes.

Specs are i5 3570k @4.2ghz
Nvidia 970 gpu
16gb of 4x4gb 1866mhz ram
250gb Samsung 850 EVO ssd
Windows 10 Home 1809 64bit

Been doing that for literal days now and it turns out I had to reinstall my GPU drivers to get it working past 1.1.0.1 hotfix 1

1.1.1.1 Hotfix 2 is what I am using with Galaxy now. You might have a firewall port issue or AV issue?
