Fishman: This game was nice to play and still have it in the box on my shelf ;)
I would also recommend to look at its next part in series - "Gorky Zero".
It's not exactly continuation, becouse game mechanic has changed - it's more splinter cell like, more action than RPG like this one, but definately worth look at ;)

That game looks awesome! Did it ever get published here in the US?? and most importantly...is it GOOD?

Yes, as others mentioned, it was released in the US under a different name - Odium.
Gorky 17 has a great atmosphere, and as for combat - it's not repetitive at all, you face many different mutants and get new tools to kill them through the whole game. Weapon proficiency levels and a constant shortage of ammo require each of your characters to specialize in different weapons (so it's nothing like "arm the whole group with rifles and just shoot everything"), meaning you have to position them correctly on the combat chessboard for their arms to be effective (or to attack at all, i.e., pistols and uzis can't fire diagonally, shotguns have low range).
It is quite short though, but packs lots of fun.
I might consider getting it as well, just have to check if my old version works with winXP :)

I was actually talking about Gorky Zero the sequel to Gorky 17. But thanks regardless!
Oh, my fail then, I tend to overlook the quotes :) Consider my previous post Re: all.
Yep I loved this game soooooo much back when I had it on CD. It's a great turn based strategy, which I've always liked but then they added some RPG elements with a great story and some good characters. In the end, it's a great experience that leaves you a little freaked out at a few points :) Certainly worth $6, I can't wait to buy it (as I lost my CDs).

Well I think it was published in USA, becouse I found this..:

And is it good...?
I can say only that when I encountered that title, I was few years after ending Splinter Cell and I was so sucked into action that I played till 3 or 4 in the morning to finish it.. :) It is really enjoyable and very playable game.
Well in fact there is a sequel to it called "Gorky 02: Aurora Watching" and although there is much graphic improvement and the game has little more to show than "oryginal" Gorky Zero, but I found it rather difficult to stay with it for more that few hours and never finished it. I have it on my cd stand however... maby I'll back to it in better times ;)
This sounds very interesting.
Another 1 for my personal wishlist.
About time gog implements that, I have an ever growing need of it.
YAY ! Was waiting for this ! I really enjoyed the demo but never had the chance to buy it.
