In the last section of escaping the jail, just after crossing the bridge, you have to sneak past a rat guarding a door. To do this, you can drop a barrel on him. This works properly the first time, but after you've reloaded the barrel will fall through the rat and hit the floor instead. The collision detection on him will then also disappear and you'll be able to walk through him, though his attacks will still register.

There's a room after that with a bunch of items. To reach a number of them that are on top of a cabinet, among which is the master jail key, you'll need to move a stool. The rest are spread across the room. Upon reloading, the stool will still be standing there and the items you took previously won't have respawned, except for the sewer key which will show up again. The cabinet also seized to a interactable after reloading, which is something that sometimes happens in other places as well. Items disappearing happens elsewhere as well, but here it particularly stood out to me because of how important one of the items was.

Another bug related to that area is that at one point between equipping the thieves boots at the bridge and reaching the courtyard the weapons, fire and falling resistances, plus stamina regen maxed out. I could lower it a bit again by taking off items, but they'd stay a lot higher than they should have been.

The above all happen consistently, including when I start a new game. A bug that does not appear consistently is the info screen for the minstrel hood and belt you start with being hidden behind the inventory screen when you try to access them. This only happened to me on my first game and only in the early section of the jail - when I checked it while I was in the courtyard the problem had resolved itself. Possibly this might have had something to do with me looking at the descriptions of other items in the inventory first, but I can't say for certain.

Thanks for that feedback. The stool becomes interactible is a huge problem and is fixed in 1.49 which is live now !
The same goes to the barrel room rat ^^.

No problem! I'm using the 1.49 build now and found some more bugs:

-Not sure if this is a bug, but if you play a song for someone the music will keep playing if you decide to skip it. This causes the songs to stack if you pick and keep skipping multiple wrong songs in quick succession. If you want the music to keep playing after a skip, you might keep this from happening by having it stop if a new song is started.

-The rat that's sleeping in a cell in the jail section is floating next to his bed.

-Some of the empty grain sacks float in the air.

-I'm not sure when, but at one point after reaching the courtyard the black son figurine disappeared from my miscellaneous tab.

-If you enter into a conversation with someone, finish it and then reload an earlier save, the conversation won't reset and will continue as if you'd already spoken to that character. Restarting the game fixes this.

-In Silas's cot, if you jump over the bed and stand against the wall the character model freaks out. Also, if you sleep in the bed while standing too close to the wall you wake up floating outside of the building and fall to your death. If you then load the autosave you'll appear on the outside of the building again and either fall to your death, land on the ledge and be unable to leave or perpetually float in nothingness after falling.

-Sometimes when the rats catch you, Tilo will continue to hang in the air even when his health runs out and the rats move on.

Thank you, your feedback is very appreciated !
We already work on these bugs, so they will be fixed in next release, apart of the black figurine glitch we need to dig deeper.
I've noticed a few more bugs, I'm also running 1.49 build.

- When I try to open some locked doors the camera gets incredibly close to Tilo and causes him to spazz around the screen for a few seconds.

- Not a bug, but a minor annoyance, when the sun comes up there is an excessive amount of bloom making it really hard to see.

- Sometimes after being chased the "chase music" don't stop playing. Even if I hide and wait for a long while. I believe the game still thinks you're being chased which makes it impossible to switch clothes or interact with any NPCs.

- Whenever the guards grab Tilo and you have to get free, Tilo is usually just lying on the ground without the guards holding him. Earlier when Tilo was grabbed you could see the guard holding Tilo.

Question, will you be able to sort items or move them around in your inventory? It would be nice if the clothes aren't mixed around in the inventory.
Thought I'd chime in as well since its not enough to open a new thread for it. I'm also running version 1.49.

- Not sure if this is a bug or supposed to be like this. In the Video options, whenever I start the game the 'Dynamics Distance' setting will be back at value 20 (standard value) even though I reduced it last time I played. It seems to always reset itself.

- In the jail cell where the guard is sleeping (near the bridge) seems to be an alignment issue. The guard isn't sleeping on the cell bed , he's instead right next to it, hanging in the air so to speak.

Also, I'm not sure if a small feature request is ok to make, but it would be awesome if a future build would offer a "advanced" option for the video settings where you could change texture quality, turn off lightrays, etc. Basically tweak the game a little bit more.

Hi,

Awesome game.

I don't have any bugs to report, but I was also wondering if maybe I could request two things.

1. My native resolution for my monitor is 1680 x 1050, but I don't see that one in the list. Can it be added?

2. My monitor, I have the brightness turned all the way up, but in a LOT of games it is still too dark, unless the game has a option to increase the brightness. Can you add a option in the game (Gamma), so that I can raise the brightness more? When it is dark outside at night in the game I can see nothing, even with the lamp light.

Thanks,
David
I already commented on my predecessor's thread, but according to an old mouse proverb: the more the better ^^

I am at the field of carrots and it's nightfall. It has become unplayable darkish, I was wondering, if this is on purpose since even lamps or candles, that Tilo can use, don't really improve the sight.

Thanks for an answer and and otherwise awesome game.

I've been thinking about this, it is almost pitch black, they should add some lighting like moonlight.
