It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

GameRager: I dunno if it's what you're talking about, but there is a setting you have to opt-out of once logged in....here: Account Privacy Settings.

Just click the box so it's empty and click the blue "save" button.
That's all unticked for me already it seems heh. Thanks anyway though. I don't mean the advertising, just the list of videos on the homepage being littered with "Reccomended For You", which are based on what you watch.

You used to be able to select on the homepage to only show a "Whats New" selection of stuff from those you're subscribed to but it seems thats been set to a separate "Subscriber Feed" which you select on the left menu.

I quite liked the Whats New type listing for subscribers because if I remember right it omitted or grouped duplicate uploads by the same person (e.g. 01 - 10 of some playthrough). It was kind of tidier that way and easier to manage. Whereas I think the Subscriber Feed just lists everything they uploaded individually (could be wrong though). But hey maybe its still there, and I just need to hunt it down someplace...

the new version always sucks. why do they ever update anything?

youtube, google, facebook, windows, you get used to it after a while but it still sucks on the inside. and just when you start to forget how much you hate it they go and change everything again so it sucks in new different and worse ways and starts all over.

Just release the prototype and only fix what breaks. every progressive change for no reason only brings pain and darkness

So much wasted space...

Also i want a button that allow me to open all comments (if i want to) or jump to a specific page. Maybe even a "read" comment note or whatever.

I have not looked at the other changes... But yeah... so much wasted space its a huge white area covering half the screen.

Yeah, I caught my mistake a few minutes after my post but didn't feel like editing it out.

I saw that........imo they should've kept it.

We must dig deeper.......past all the crud in this latest version of youtube.
The thing I miss most about youtube was seeing video ratings next to each thumbnail in search results. For example, if you search for a movie trailer, often times many of the results are fake for some reason, and the low ratings reflected that.

Why they removed that is beyond me, hell it could have stopped that "rick rolled" crazed, like did youtube wanted people to get fooled.
I kind of like the changes personally.

However, I miss having "favorite channels", there was like 5 you could choose and you could always easily find their videos. Unless I just can't see that anywhere. I like seeing other channels videos too, and that is why I subbed to them...still miss being able to easily see my favorites though.
Cool. New design with plenty of wasted space and lots of unwanted/unnecessary elements with no options whatsoever to customize it. Thanks, Youtube....
The "send feedback" button...

I think it's stalking me...
Yeah, the design could use a few tweaks, especially on widescreen monitors, but no website (and especially not the GOG forums that I am posting on right now) scales to utilize all the space you're given by your web browser window absolutely perfectly. Scalable design is not easy.

Heh, you could always use Adblock+ Element Hiding Helper(If you use chrome/Iron/etc.) to hide it.

Send feedback: "I'm filing a restraining order."
One thing I just realized is that there's no longer a horizontally scrolling bar of the uploader's other recent uploads above the video window. That was one of my favorite features for navigating.
IMHO I think they crapped on it to annoy users they do it ALL the time as soon as you get used to doing something they come in and Fuck it up making you have to re-learn everything AGAIN!

Google if you are reading this STOP F ING UP THE FORMAT ON YT PLEASE!!

With every update youtube starts looking more and more bland and confusing. I wish youtube would just pick one look and stick with it. For a while I had my channel invisible because I only used it for watching videos. Before I had a nice media player in the middle of my channel and I could select from my favorites or uploads, but then youtube got rid of that and converted it to the new look :/. The old design was optimal for my purely video watching purposes, there was no need for the change, and no I don't want a blog.

Then Youtube forced me to reveal my channel or delay the inevitable deletion. I chose deletion since it was clear that google wants me to play things their way, whether I want to or not. It is not that revealing my channel was a big deal, it was just the final straw. Now I just have my favorite vids bookmarked.

Google is well known for their ADHD, they keep screwing around with their interfaces too much.
