Red_Avatar: Written test included psychological profiling, mental endurance tests and stress tests. Basically, all the mental and psychological parts like staying cool under pressure, etc. Don't ask me why many failed, it was just reported that they did.
orcishgamer: I wouldn't have called those "written" then, I would call them psych tests. At any rate, if they were written to specifically assess men then it's not surprising that women would often fail them. If they performed a valid assessment of both sexes then who the fuck knows? I don't.
When I said "written" I basically added all the tests that involved, well, writing and not physical aspects and that DOES include psych and other tests. And when it's clear that many of the women who want to join aren't emotionally ready to do the job that was needed, then they should have failed, full stop. State police (which no longer exists now) dealt with all the big crimes - murder, robbery, drug smuggling, etc. They saw more action than a soldier would so were trained just as hard.
And duh, of course the tests were adjusted and even checked and approved to make sure they were fair. This wasn't the US ;).
