I accidentally clicked that white dot and now I'm half-blind :(
Yeah, it's rather bright.
I feel bad for you, it's truly awful.
I'd never been tempted to click on it until just now.

MEDIC!
Am I the only one who doesn't have the monitor's brightness cranked up to 100? I've been using the white theme since forever!

Guys... am I... am I a freak? :(

I actually have mine turned way down, but since I always use a dark theme on forums when there's a choice, the white theme here just make me feel I've set up a klieg light in my living room.

No, of course not. Now go on back in the cage, you're not needed at the attraction stall for at least two hours.

I wanted to see what the white theme looked like and it turned out I was using the "white" theme as well. Really, this is more of a gainsboro than a white.

Look, we don't need none of your fancy schmantzy technical terms here. We're just simple folk. I know white when it blinds me and I'm searching for some sunglasses right now...

It's actually quite amazing how overly bright and contrasty/saturated LCD monitors are set to by default. You can tone things down quite a bit and still have a very pleasing screen with a lot lot less glare!

Though I cheat by doing photography and thus using a calibrator to get there ;)
Oh come on! It can't be that ba..IT BURNSSSS!!!
I use dark themes anytime i can. I even have a "night mode" css in my browser, because my fiancee would twist my balls for shining a screen while she tries to sleep
I recently switched to the white theme. I don't like it as much as the grey one, but I got bored of it and wanted a different look.
At some point I considered making a custom css for a pink theme so I could feel pretty when I browse GOG.. can't remember why I decided not to.
It doesn't seem that bright to me, though I do prefer the darker theme.

Of course, I regularly use Microsoft Office products like Excel and Word with a *completely* white background, so the light grey doesn't seem bright in any way by comparison.
