Thomson MO5, then a Tandy 1000ex and a lot more after that.
The first computer my parents got was a 486 DX2 33 MHz. I played my first games on a C64 at a friend's house, I believe.

iuliand: C-64 + lots of tapes :D
and later on:
486 DX-4 100MHz - a real rocket back then...
Hehe, the same here, except I also had a disk drive for my C64, and inbetween that and my 486 DX-4 I had an Amiga 500.

I got rather lucky with the PC, actually. I'd originally bought a 486 DX-2 80MHz, but it had some sort of hardware fault. I took it back to the store for them to look at, but after three weeks they told me they couldn't fix it, so I was getting a new one. When I got it home and hooked up, I noticed during bootup that this one was a DX-4 100MHz. I guess they didn't have any more of the other model left, or they felt a need to compensate me for my trouble. Either way, I got lucky :-)
My first computer was Commodore VIC-20, which I upgraded to a C64, then a C128 and then lashed out and bought an Atari 520STF and an Amiga 500 and then moved to compatibles after that.

Retro computing is one of my hobbies and I still have:

Amiga 4000T
Amiga 1200 (x2)
Atari 4160STE
Atari TT030
Atari 130XE
Commodore 64
Commodore 128
Commodore 128D (x3)
Acorn Archimedes A4000
Acorn Archimedes A3020
BBC Master 128

And I love them all!

Cheers

Mark
Sharp Something Something

the computer was a box containing the display and keyboard and you had to load games through a cassette player...

Bruce Lee and Fred were my favourites ;)

(the monitor was black/green and my retinae are damaged ever since...)
My first computer was a ZX Spectrum but prior to that we had a TRS80 Model 1 at home prior to that
My first PC was a 286 back in 1991 or so.
Our first family computer was a Macintosh LC II. I believe that, much later, it became my first computer - i.e. the computer that was mine as opposed to the family's.

C64 -> Amiga 500 -> 386 with 60 MHz (on Turbo)
Commodore 64 -> Atari ST -> PC. Had two consoles before the C64 but I guess those don't count as computers.
A 486, I think...
Texas Instruments TI-99/4A

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_TI-99/4A

I think it was quite rare here though, all my home computer owning friends had either some Commodore machine (first VIC-20, then C=64) or Sinclair Spectrum or similar, or Atari VCS. I originally jumped to TI because I noticed how superior the TI version of "Space Invaders" was to the VIC-20, let alone to the horrid Atari VCS, version.

I loved the part how TI lost to Commodore (VIC-20 & C=64) because e.g.:

Commodore also made other cost-cutting changes including using aluminized cardboard to build RF shields for some of their systems. Texas Instruments never followed suit, electing instead to continue to use the highest quality components and materials with the unfulfilled hope that the marketplace would recognize it.
So TI lost partly because it was manufacturing a too high-quality home computer?

For a short period of time, I think TI had the most amazing gaming graphics of any home gaming system. Parsec....

Vic 20.

Followed by, CPC 464 Green screen, ZX81, CPC 464 plus, Amiga 600, Amiga 1200, generic 286 pc, generic 386 pc, generic 486 pc ... eventually leading to several other PCs of various builds including two Dell Inspiron notebooks a Sony VAIO tower and my current custom built PC.

Not to mention a whole heap of consoles and handhelds too. Of which our first handheld was the Galaxian 2: http://www.retrogamer.net/show_image.php?imageID=4263
