I'm mostly obsessed with spelling and grammar, although I can't catch everything. So I usually stay away from Japanese games, although I do love rhythm games as well.
I'm more of a first person shooter, really.
you're = you are
your = ownership
2d fighters. Guilty Gear, Jo Jo's, 3rd strike, Battle Fantasia, etc. I probably spend 80% of my free time on fighters.
They laugh at me, cos I'm playing Final Fantasy games :'(
Seriously, I'm considered crazy because of my, now almost passed, Japanese obsession. It's contageous, by the way.

UK_John: The fact I am 51; playing PC games at all makes people think I am crazy! :)

Coelocanth: Same here. I'm 44 and play games like NWN, NWN2, The Witcher, Fallout, etc. (I don't watch tv). My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I'm in the same boat. There are 1 or 2 programmes i'll watch on TV, mainly football. I get bored very quickly with the majority of films. Most of the time i'm gaming while my gf is watching crap like America's Next Top Model in the next room.
My obsession - Football Manager. I started playing from the very beginning (Championship Manager on Amiga) and ever since i've been hooked although I do think the series is stagnating - too many unnecessary features in my opinion.

lol that's cool, it's just a minor pet peeve with those two words, sometimes just drives me into a blind rage, I'm glad I was able to walk away without blasting anyone though, it's silly really.

Khorgor, don't listen to him! :) Being BRITISH I know how to use English grammar better than any other nationality as I am always up to date! :)
Given the above, I feel justified in being the one to say it is AMAZING the quality of English language that the non English writers in forums like this are able to scribe! Certainly much more than I could write your language!
I would suggest that when you get corrected,it is because the poster thought you were English, therefore making it a compliment really! :)
Oh and Master of Magic - what a fantastic game THAT is!!!!
I LOVE arcade shooters (Doom), Team based arcade shooters (Team Fortress 2), Combat Flight Sims (Descent, sad that this genre is a dying breed), Nonturtling RTS's (Company of Heroes), RPG's where your actions aren't either pure good or evil and can have a good selection of choices (Witcher), sRPG's (Disgaea), Action Rpgs (Diablo) and the occasional platformer (recently it was Oddworld from Steam).

Thank you M8! Happy gaming, and I assume you like games that test your brain and not just your joystick due to your age, like me! :)

Well the same back to you my friend! Maybe the older games just make me rekindle the fire of my youth? But who cares as long as I get the same feeling I had playing those games when they first came out? I am happy!
All the best my friend.
Cheers!
