We've recorded moving pictures and sound for you to watch!

Hey! For all those to busy to check GOG.com every day, and those who like our announcements in a nice little audiovisual package, GOG.com is happy to present [url=http://youtu.be/UkHn--STc5A]This Week on GOG--new, funky, and fresh video that showcases the whole GOG-week (new releases, promos, and special events) in just few minutes.

Please let us know what do you think about the first episode of This Week on GOG. This is something completely new we're doing and we're willing to change to make you happier. Write comments on video page and in the forums--we're reading all of this!

Thanks for watching and see you (watch you?) next Friday!
Finally watched the video. Very nice for a first attempt. Definitely looking forward to more of this. I still (seriously) want a GOGBook.

mistermumbles: I guess I really need to check out this video when I have a better connection available. This Wifi on the train is barely passable.

G-Doc: Wow. This post calls for a "first world problem" meme :-)
Indeed. ;) On a positive note, it gave me the opportunity to continue hunting for rooms to rent while I was on my way to the city to which I'm intending to move.
OK? Since the link to the video is in the same place as the releases and weekend deal, I'm not sure why I'd click the link and spend three minutes watching a video instead of the <10 seconds it would take me to glance at the release titles, then click on the promo to see what's up, but it's not hurting anything, so ... OK?

Or is this some advertisement thing, where you're expecting these things to show up on other web forums and the like? I wouldn't count on that happening a lot, because if I want to tell someone on another forum that such and such a game has just been released, it's easier to tell them instead of making them watch a video.

Nice Video! It's nice to catch up with the releases and features of GOG with these episodes

alebelp: I'm lukewarm to the idea, but mainly because I haven't seen anything about old games... it gives me the impression GOG.com is getting more and more distance between itself and the original "GOG: good old games" ... I hope I'm wrong. PS Also, no offense but in my opinion you could use a clearer and catchier voice for the video...
Seconded!
You should pay more attention to the thread "Requested Games"!

the weekly video update is not actual since witcher enchanted edition is not in the list?

I liked it! I especially appreciate being able to see the new games in action so I don't have to look up crappy youtube gameplay videos.

Even though I check the homepage daily, I sometimes miss things.
I like it. For those who dont check the homepage often, this is a very good idea. If kept concise, this could be a great addition.
I like the idea, and I do appreciate getting to see what the games look like in action. (Although, being on fairly cheap computers, most of the newer games probably won't look nearly as good for me...)

Things I'd like to see:

- Developer input. Have them make a short (10 to 30 seconds) video clip about why we should buy their game through GOG.
- I'd definitely like something a bit more "inside" than a simple review of the week's releases. Maybe for eagerly awaited games that finally get released, a quick summary of what took so long.
- A hint of next week's news might be pretty cool, too. Like if you were announcing that you were buying out Steam, say something like "there'll be a hot announcement coming up!" (And now you see why I don't write sales pitches.)
- A viewer Q&A, maybe?
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the GOG offices for a day.
Hey, I like these videos. Shows me the games and the sales are explained much better. I actually like it. You should do this more often. Not every week, but every month for sure.e Like a big sale and a monthly round up of all new game launches, that way the videos seem more important. Highlighting what is critical to us gamers. Because if we have a video for each and every single sale, then I feel there may be too many videos, and to me, not every sale is as important to every single gamer. So with that said, I like the video, but I want the video to contain important and quality content.

P.S.- Any chance you can post some info in your video about universal games? Games that work on ALL platforms, and of course, DRM-Free. That to me is valuable information, as I prefer to game on Linux. Anyhow, keep that library growing.
Not too bad. I liked how it included some footage from the games, always useful in case I want to be more familiar with how they "play".
I liked it. I don't have a lot of time to look at each new release individually, so having gameplay of each new release all in one video makes things really easy for me. Keep it going.
Just a few comments about TET's voiceover.

1. What on earth is a play'n'click adventure? Surely it's point'n'click, no?

2. CD "Proyect" RED? Is that an attempt to pronounce it the Polish way? It sounds strange when you're speaking English.

Other than that, good job. An excellent video, and as others have commented, TET is good at doing the voiceover (other than those two little things).
