Among all of the games it features, we'd like to put one in the spotlight the most. There are games that never get hyped much in the media and aren't considered milestones of their genre, but still success in accumulating a modding community so large and dedicated, that you could say the development of such title never really stopped. Such is the case of Knights & Merchants, a medieval real-time strategy with in-depth society simulation and epic-scaled armies. Even though the game came out in 2001, a community of talented fans doesn't stop in their effort to, fix and tweak it, make it enjoyable for the modern gamer, and support it with all the features the fanbase demands. All this goes towards a impressive mod, that we recently featured in one of our Mod Spotlight editorial. Get the game for only $1.79. check out the mod, and witness the magic of PC gaming community!

Not really fond of historical setting? Would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic Edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $2.99! The bigger, better, and more--erm--magical sequel, Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition, also complete with all the extensions and bundled with two great MP3 soundtracks, is also available 70% off (that's $5.99).

Two Worlds 2 intro

Niggles: being thrown up in the occasional promo ?

JMich: The news post uses html markup to display images and videos, but the forum's post doesn't support that. Since they usually copy/paste the news post to the forum's post, they may miss a few of the needed changes, especially if they do it in a hurry.
They took about 15minutes to proof read it *its now fixed* :D
Damn, both Two Worlds have been on my wishlist for a long time, but spent the cash on the Stalker series yesterday, ah well, maybe next time

jamyskis: Also, Two Worlds 1 is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
Yeah, if one can forgive the reprehensible voice acting and questionable animations, it's quite a lot of fun :D

Crosmando: What's annoying is that there's a version of Earth 2140 on Steam but it's a special HD edition, which has widescreen resolution support. Apparently they were going to update the version on GOG to include the new HD version, but this was months ago, and nothing has come of it...
That's very annoying because the devs promised month ago that the HD update is coming to GOG soon...
But now the devs keep silent ...

Well, I played it in German, and that translation was somewhat superior to the English one, so the voice acting wasn't a problem for me :)

(But didn't the Polish version just use the English VA?)
Another nice promo! I want the Two Worlds games so is there any chance that GOG will get the german versions?

Yes.... they even said on the Steam thread that the GOG version will be updated in just days (http://steamcommunity.com/app/253860/discussions/0/666826250716083349) yet now nothing...

It's no great loss though, given that the AI used in the HD version is precisely the same as the clusterfuck Windows version. The best thing that TopWare could do to the Steam version is add the DOS version as an optional bonus, which GOG has already done.
Oh, it looks like we're getting another game today:

Great promo, but already used too much money already so il pass on this one.
Ah...finally got my hands on Gorky 17 and Septerra Core. I remember reading the lukewarm reviews those two games got in German gaming magazines but there was something intangible about those games that grabbed my interest, even from looking at a few tiny printed screenshots, call it intuition. Not sure if I'll enjoy those games and no idea where to take the time to play them but at that low price, I'll gladly take the risk.

And by nothing I guess you mean nothing at Steam either?? Because I couldn't find any further announcements there either, despite more than one poster contradicting their claim that the AI had been fixed in the HD version.

I just purchased the game (before I read this) and downloaded and tried the DOS version, but got no sound with the movies/intro (a problem matched with SMAC/SMAX) so this means I either must live without sound for briefings/movies/etc. or live with awful AI by playing the Windows version, right?

Mayhap, methinks...
Does Earth 2140 still have broken A.I.? Might skip the series if that's the case.
Nice promo.
Oye, only money left for one game...Dream Pinball 3D or Enclave?
