Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Hitman, and Thief series and more from Square Enix 60% off.

Here comes the GOG.com [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_28_09_12/]Square Enix Squad! A gallery of characters that shine a bright light in the history of gaming. The beautiful tomb raiding daredevil Lara Croft, the cyborg savior of humanity JC Denton, the king of stealth and thievery Garrett, and the mysterious archmaster of assassination known only as the Agent 47. This amazing ensemble of badasses is here for one reason only: all of their respective games in our catalogue are now discounted by 60% along with many other Square Enix titles until Tuesday, October 2 at 03:59 AM GMT.

Witness the first steps of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider 1+2+3, a bundle that contains the first three games that made her a superstar. Then witness her more obscure, but even more dangerous adventures and witness her younger years in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation & Chronicles. Finally, follow Lara as she tackles a mysterious cult in Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Be sure not to miss all the action-adventure girl-power goodness!

Dare to venture into the dark dystopian future of Deus Ex and become JC Denton, the hardcore cybernetically enhanced peacekeeper that started to doubt his superior's agenda and stood up to the conspiracy. Then decide the fate of his successor, Alex D, the hero of Deus Ex 2: Invisible War. If you are a cyberpunk fan, a RPG aficionado, or if you simply want to try a different and challenging FPS, make yourself acquainted with the Deus Ex series.

Not all of the Square Enix Squad members enjoy the publicity. Some of them prefer to keep a low profile. Especially Garrett, the master-thief who sneaked into the promo through an unlocked skylight. Many gamers consider his adventures to be the pinnacle of stealth games and its first iteration, adequately titled Thief GOLD, an origin of a whole genre. The GOLD edition contains the original Thief: The Dark Project and an update that enhances the game with three new campaign missions and new enemy types. While you lurk around GOG.com treasury with Garret, be sure to also grab your copies of Thief GOLD and Thief 2: The Metal Age and Thief 3: The Deadly Shadows. At $3.99 each, it's really a steal!

Head out to the promo page and check out all 16 of the great Square Enix games you can get 60% off until Tuesday, October 2 at 03:59 AM GMT.

SimpleUser: Could someone help with a question regarding Thief.

I think I remember my brother playing Theif where you shot water arrows to put out tourches and moss arrows to soften foot steps all stealth type stuff. But then I watch some youtube videso and your in a huant tower with mad man zombies scary place which I really dont like.

I really dislike scary games.

Are they the same game?

Duskwolf: The zombies in Thief are no more scary than human guards in the mansions where you are stealing loot. Both can kill you just as easily if they see you. The whole object in Thief is NOT to fight anything. You either sneak up and knock it out, or you avoid it. That's not to say the game doesn't have ways for you to kill stuff if you really want, it's just usually not the best way to achieve your goals. In fact, you can complete both Thief 1 and Thief 2 without causing a single point of damage to anything (except for one mission where you are required to knock someone out as an objective).

So don't consider the game scary because it has zombies. The more accurate question is, do you find it scary sneaking around and trying to avoid being seen or heard by anything?

Thanks GOG for an awesome sale.My wishlist shrunk significantly. Each of this series would have been a great Weekend Promo on its own,but this all-in-one-Promo surpasses the already great WPs of the last weeks. Now I'll go and bury my wallet, which died as a result of total emptiness :(
Well, that cleared up about 20% of my wishlist. Thanks, GOG!

Now I just need to win the lottery or find a leprechaun's pot of gold or something so I can stop working and free up time to play all of these games...
Deus ex? Hell yeah! It's too bad I have to work/or otherwise be social this weekend.. :(

mkell_226: Okay, but promise you'll pick up the other two ASAP!

Although, I remember now that Thief 2 has a great total conversion called Shadows of the Metal Age which has a very VERY zombie-heavy level. Still, I think the Haunted Cathedral levels (not to mention the Old Quarter) in TG are a bit better.
I will pick up the other two. I've really pushed the game budget this month. With all the Kickstarters and recent promos. My gf didn't really say anything when I loaded up the ones I wanted this morning, but I could sense the "that's about enough fucking games for this month" vibe she was giving off. This month is almost over though. :D

morciu: gotta say I'm a little disappointed with Tomb Raider 1+2+3, I tried TR2 and it's unplayable, everything is shaky and twitchy and there are trails all over my screen. I was really looking forward to play this all night but now I find myself sitting like a dumbass staring blankly at the screen not knowing what to do. Don't know what to say Mr GOG, I thought we had something special here...
Did you search the game sub-forum for help? If not, definitely send an email to Support. Do any of the other TR games work for you?
Buyed the Thief series and also decided for a digital backup of both Deus Ex games.
Fuck yeah, time to get all the tomb raider series (and thief 2, and anachronox too which I never finished.)

Damn I actually had forgotten Anachronox is on GOG, still missing other Ion Storm games though, Daikatana and Dominion. :-)
Been waiting for this one

You are awesome, GOG!

Picked up Thief trilo, Hitman SA, DX IW and the two LoK I didn't own yet. (Already owned Anacronox, Hitman C47, Lok: SR, and DX GOTY). There goes my sqeenix wishlist.

Now please, GoG; Blood Omen 1 for Christmas. and System Shock 2. Pretty-pretty please?

phayon959: I dont think those are owned by square enix are they?
avatar
Skunk: It's really not that hard to check, man. -_-;
I don't actually give a shit if they are or are not owned by them. I was just pointing it out..... man.

BananaJane: None of those games are by square or enix

kodeen: Huh? They're the publisher. All of these promos have always been named after the publisher, not individual devs (unless the game is self-published).
But Enix hasn't published any games for PC since 1993

Square and Enix merged a long time ago. The company is called SquareEnix. They also own Eidos so Eidos games are also now published by SquareEnix. I assure you the promo name is accurate.
Seems GOG does not have The next 2 Hitman games or Pandemonium 2 in their catalog. Yet? Hope they eventually pop up.

Slightly disappoint they left off a Legacy of Kain game and Urban Chaos, but other than that this is just about as close to joygasmic as a promotion can get. For me, at least. I've already played, loved, and lost almost every game here. So happy to once again have them back, DRM Free, and playable on my system!

Now to waste the next several months of my life looking into the Tomb Raider Level Editor and stuff so I can get Lara and her adventures tweaked up and looking even sexier!

Yeah I looked for fixes everywhere, and sent support an email. I only tired TR2 because that's what I wanted to play.
LOL, what a farse SQUARE-ENIX promo and none of these games are made by SQUARESOFT or ENIX. :)))
