Hey all, I recently won a copy of Two Worlds II Velvet Edition (TWII +Pirates expac) and I was given another copy for Christmas.

This is a steam gift, so to enter the giveaway you must have steam.

Rules are simple:

1) Be positive in your submission for this giveaway, which is an uplifting thought, phrase, or situation you have encountered in your life.

2) Have an active Steam account so I can give you the game if you win (it's a steam tradeable copy)

3) No rep or tenure requirements

4) Only enter if you will redeem this for yourself. No winning and then trading the game for something else.

5) That's it!

Ok so to summarize, post a positive/uplifting thought, phrase, or situation from your life, have an active steam account, and only enter if you're going to play Two Worlds II Velvet.

Contest ends New Year's Day in the Pacific Time Zone of the USA when I wake up, which won't be too late as I don't drink anymore.

Good luck to all! Winner will be chosen by random.org

"This too shall pass..."

Lately I've been hearing this a lot...
This is not recent, it happened a couple of years ago, but it should do.

I was backpacking and lost my bank card, which left me stranded with hardly any money near the opposite side of the world. The bank and the insurance didn't help. As I was thinking how I would manage, I was helped by someone from my country I had met that same day (she lent me 200€), a couple locals I knew through an internet forum met me in person and helped me figure out where to eat for cheap (I was even invited to their house for lunch), and the hostel staff allowed me to stay without pay until I got my financial situation back in check.

This whole situation showed me that, while there are many assholes around the world and they tend to stand out a lot, there are even more nice people behind them.
Fuck the police

Rather uplifting ;)
Why not, you can count me in +1

And well "You never know if you can do it if you don't try!"

Weird - wouldn't let me add a new post, but I can use the reply function - I suppose that's a positive thing!

As to an actual positive tale though, I was recently endorsed professionally by the same (fairly well known) artist who inspired me to start painting again, and in the process, move to digital.
Once you've hit rock bottom, things can only get better.

If you feel rotten and forgotten, remember there'll be better days.
The best is yet to come :)
Don't let the little things bother you. Just relax and take it easy.
the best thing man has ever created is liquor and sugar
An amazing philosopher from another time and place once said "Do or do not, there is no try."

Kinda cheesy I know, but good words to live by no matter how old you are. If you get it ingrained in you the younger you are though, the easier for it to stick (for all the parents out there). Nothing worth doing is ever easy so don't give up.

Thanks.

If I win, give the game to Ian.
