Mentalepsy: Is there a better way to indicate from the catalogue browser that MM6: LE is a collection, not just one game? If I didn't already know what it was, I would probably assume it was just MM6 with a hintbook and making-of video, or something like that.
I'm guessing Ubisoft is a little picky about how their games are titled here, though, given that they apparently want the (C)s and (R)s and TMs displayed everywhere.

Miaghstir: It says in the description?
Pack includes first six games from Might and Magic series: <omitted list of titles>
Also among the list of downloadables:
m&m I-VI manuals, m&m I-VI maps, m&m I-V cluebooks

I know, I meant from the catalogue itself, not the game page.

Maybe that's what makes the Limited Edition special?
YES! This is why I don't buy many new games, 6 awesome games for $10?

Well, putting aside for the moment that as soon as it goes up on GOG, it's no longer a "limited edition" at all (which, from a collector's point of view, would -really- be what makes it special), we're not getting the cloth map (just a .jpg image) or the MM6 strategy guide, which were also included as part of the limited edition. The LE was just a one-off promotional retail package meant to sell MM6 specifically, and I don't think it makes sense to take the same approach here.
My Duke Nukem 3D disc includes Duke 1 and 2, but if GOG had bundled all three of those games together, it wouldn't make sense to list it in the catalogue as simply "Duke Nukem 3D," even though it would have been accurate to the retail release.
It was only a suggestion to make the catalogue view more informative; I figure that something like "Might & Magic VI: Limited Edition Collection" (if Ubisoft is adamant about naming this package after the LE) would be more likely to garner a click for more information, rather than a "Meh, I already have MM6." You don't need to be snarky.

Mentalepsy: I've been trying to play 7 lately, but I haven't really gotten into it. Although I appreciate that the gameplay and character creation / management is somewhat more complex and robust than 6, the extremely heavy combat wears on me, and the game seems to sort of meander aimlessly. Is it worth perservering?

Invest in a bow skill. That makes game much easier, especially combined with Fly spell ;) Personally I like MM7 better than 6th and never had any problems with it. Give it a chance.
Anyway I was wondering what to get myself for my birthday and MM pack is a perfect choice *_* Instant buy.

Eh, I dunno. I got pretty tired of flying around dumping meteors on everything in the Dragonsand and Hermit's Isle. It's just tedious to hack and slash until my arms go numb.
I can't wait for Heroes of Might and Magic III. I wish the Chronicles were coming to gog.com too.
lol at six M&M games
I'll probably get it for the sake of having it.
will try to play number one for sure just the sake of knowing that i played one of the most important rpgs out there.
wonder how fun it will be :)
Considering that these latest additions are must-buys, GOG will achive a decent, and disturbing, result of getting from me a week's wage worth in two months, since I registered. Steam failed to do that when I joined it - and their games go somewhat above 10$... 4 to 6 times above.
Well, it definitely motivates me to find a job that pays better than my current one. Or quit smoking. And quit drinking on holidays. And go vegetarian or on some next-to-no-food diet.
Hmmm... I got it! GOG is a proponent of healthy lifestyle and ambition! All Hail GOG!
But seriously, for a beta project GOG does deliver some. Now I have my hopes high to see some other titles which I could only dream of seeing sold again.
P.S. Now if only GOG could get the HOMM Chronicles series up, it would be doubly charming. That's the only HOMM game, which I don't have multiple copies of (and I do have only the russian version. and the translation is horrendous).
Wow... World of Xeen alone is worth the price. I think I'm going to skip HoMM2, but I'll grab 3 as soon as it's available. (I was just about to order it on Amazon last week, but didn't get around to it. Now I'm glad I didn't)
Hopefully they'll be out in 2 weeks or less so I'll have them for my upcoming trip. :)

I totally agree with you since when I saw the MM6 announce, I didn't notice that there were 6 games included.
Thanks to comments, I know it's not only MM6, but otherwise...
GOG should definitely indicate in a simple and intuitive way that it's a collection... in it's name or in an other way, like a 'sticker', at least on the game card.

ArtyArt: This is brilliant! Might & Magic 1-6 are a sure purchase for me (even the hint books are included, yay!) even though I do own multiple boxed copies of those games. Thanks GoG, thank you oh so much!
(but you don't have to release Might & Magic 7-10 ^_^ )

JudasIscariot: There was a tenth game?? I thought 9 was the last since it was reviled by the series' fans....

he's counting Dark Messiah too, i think
i'd actually like to see them all here, except the 9th, that one was just weird as hell.
i'm quite surpised by some of the pricing it's very.... unusual? on one hand you get two awesome complete editions for HoMM3 (wich had a lot of expansions) and MM 1-6 for just 9.99, and on the other HoMM 2 for the same price as 3 and settlers II. kinda strange.
at least they are all complete editions so i guess this time the pricing is better than the first ubisof releases

It's great to see that this site continues to live up to its name. I'll start bringing some more of my money to GOG's coffers shortly.
ive still got the original of might and magic 6, but ill be getting this collection edition definitely.
Whaaa... that Might & Magic-pack actually looks like extremely good value - from Ubisoft? Must be some mistake. :-)
I would instabuy Heroes 2 at $5.99, have to think a little before buying it at $9.99. At least the soundtrack and expansion is included, makes it a bit more tempting (though I doubt I'll play it enough to actually need the expansion, if that makes sense).
Settlers 2 is good fun, though I'm not buying it again. Give me The Settlers (1) for $5.99, and I'm there right away.
