Not sure if this has been posted somewhere on this forum before, but
Diablo III is blatantly better than Torchlight II!!!
^ Haha nice article.

I hope Torchlight 2 sells very well. Diablo 3 sucks as a game and as another step in the direction of awful DRM and publishers crapping on consumers. If only more people who disagree with these practices had the willpower to realize, "If I don't agree with their DRM and other restrictions, I shouldn't give them my money."

The sad part is that the auction house royalties will guarantee Blizzard can keep doing this. Not long before others follow suit.

But I digress! I enjoyed Torchlight (only played demo, really) but I'm strongly interested in the sequel. Just have to make it through some of the backlog before I throw down for another game.

I did, I loved Diablo 1 and II, but I don't even touch III with a stick, because of the DRM.

Can't wait to the release of Torchlight II. Pre-Ordered on Day 1 :)

Same here, only that I got D3 for my birthday and let's just say the DRM everyone is complaining about is the least of it's problems.

In a game with a non-existent story, it got worse (it got retarded), character development is made by putting stronger loot on your character, gameplay is slower then D2, giving up on combating e-bay trade and making a cash grab for yourself, highly unfinished.

It's a fun action game all in all, but many Diablo fans have a reason to be appalled by it.

Good on you! I edited my post to say I wish more people had the willpower. I know that many people have chosen not to play, and even more have been very disappointed.

I really think people are going to love Torchlight 2, and some of the disgruntled gamers (for reasons like DodoGeo has explained) will migrate over. I can only imagine that D3 is now dominated by loot farmers and auction house tycoons. And the game is so simplified and dumbed down. Torchlight 2 offers players all the things (offline play, character customization, etc.) that Diablo 3 sorely lacks.

Full of win!
Btw, any other place to get it other than Steam?

I'm actually pretty sure Diablo 3 is blatantly better than Torchlight 2 for real - aside from (in order of descending importance):

1. Lack of single player (this is the deal breaker for me)
2. Lack of difficulty settings
3. Lack of a quick way to send junk for sale (i.e. Fluffy)

Sweet, sweet irony.
So I earned a bit of money]earned a bit of money from D3's RMAH sales.

And I used that very money to buy TL2 using Paypal.

Nice! I'm guessing the prices will bottom out once more people jump on the bandwagon and get high level chars to try to make some easy $$.
Any update on the release date?.
Based on playing the TL2 beta for a short time and comparing it to my fullpricedatlaunch D3....TL2 feels to me the better game.....
Honestly, at this point I don't have too much interest in Diablo 3.

I'll definitely get this at some point, though. Sounds awesome.
I'm keen to see new build videos of Torchlight 2, following encouraging interviews with the developers since the beta began.

Specifically I'd like to see how they're doing to the visual upgrades to skills you invest heavily into. It'd be nice to see skills perform better (more impressive) as you invest in them, rather than just get a little bonus damage behind the scenes.

I'm going to troll this whole thread now...

1. Define single player. If you're playing alone, you can pause the game and all that. You just need to have an internet connection.
2. 4 difficulties aren't enough?
3. Don't pick up trash worth 5 gold when you're getting 100 from killing a single monster.
