PenutBrittle: This isn't quite the same thing you're talking about, but I have a really neat rescue story. I found a couple of old floppy disks with the labels scratched off wedged behind my desk back when I was in high school (this was shortly before Windows XP came out, so floppies were becoming pretty unusual). I took them home, dragged out my parent's old Windows 95 computer, booted it up, loaded the first disk and it turns out I had found an old copy of Incredible Machine 2. Bizarre.
That's a cool story. It really makes you wonder how that stuff gets there, and what games are just laying around in random places being completely ignored.
