fronzelneekburm: I'm fairly certain that gog might have removed some of the more pricey games from the pots when they realised that people were using that little exploit to get their hands on some of the more valuable titles, while simultaneously dodging the not-so-hot titles. When I went through the selection of games a couple of hours ago, I'd constantly get games like Deadly Premonition, Cognition and Amnesia. Now I can count myself lucky if Outlast shows up.
i'd guess it was probably setup from the beginning to only have a certain number of licenses and since people meta-gamed the system to make it non-random more popular titles ran out first. if people had let it be random, with more weight given to anything on the wish list and not already owned it probably would have worked fine.
i'd hope it's a per dayish thing and will reset.
i think it's too bad because it's a fun promotional idea, but it can't work if people meta-game it. i find it to be in bad taste to talk about exploiting it on gog's own forums as it's likely costing them money, but it's their forum.
