_Bruce_: Duke Nukem?
Yes! Very good :D
I'll be waiting for a sale. While I'm mildly interested in the game, I'm not interested enough to pay the regional price hike.
I wont buy it cause my operating system does not support it :(,otherwise id buy it
I love X-Com. I bought the big pack. I bought XCOM:EU day one. I wanted this when it was first announced as an FPS. I eagerly waited for it as the years passed. When EU was announced I was giddy, but also wondered, 'what about the FPS?' When the change came I was still excited. Then they announced Wolfenstein: The New Order, and while I was preoredering that, I figured I'd bite the bullet and preordered this as well. Now the 20th just can't come fast enough.
Firstoff, (some) people should stop calling it an FPS, it's not, it's a third person shooter, and from the looks of it, a strategic one. Kind of like Mass Effect, but with a command system that actually makes your companions useful :)

Liked the video's I've been seeing of it lately. There's gonna be 4 classes, they can be levelled up with different perks and the like. Certainly like the setting.

That said, my biggest problem with it, and why I may end up not preordering, is that apparently the game is structured in a main campaign with some optional side missions, but it's all pre-built, there's no random missions or anything like that. That part I really didn't like :(

I was going to pre-order, but due to financial difficulties I'll probably pick it up during XMas. Now to wait for XCOM: Enemy Within announcement.
I am kinda 'meh' on it, due to how when it was first announced, it had the X-COM brand slapped onto it to move more units. Still, I did like the original 'doppelganger' and geometrical virtual-space entities the original trailer have. At a guess, they reformulated the game in response to the criticism at the time, without understanding why there was criticism in the first place.

Still, I will pick it up if reviews are good and if the game is on sale.

My bigger interest is the news regarding the strategy game, as it is likely to be an announcement for a expansion or new entry.
Nope, doesn't appeal to me one bit. Apart that it's a travesty turning every franchise into a shooter, there's nothing interesting for me in the promo materials.

On the other hand I have high hopes for Enemy Within, as it could really improve on a solid game.

keeveek: I will buy it on sale, of course, but they sold me just because of the interesting theme.

Not to mention this amazing trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uWz8iRjCiA
Thanks for the chuckle, haven't seen that one :)
Unless this gets shredded in the reviews (doubt it, this is 2K Marin we're talking about after all), I think I'm definitely getting the game once the price gets under the 20€ mark. I don't care if it's "not a true XCOM!" The gameplay looks nice, there's a lot customization, missions seem to be spread out so that you can choose yourself where to head next, and the strategy elements, even if copied from Mass Effect, seem they could be quite fun. And I love shooting aliens.
True believers of goggism do not get the game, as it has DRM.

They do not shitpost either.
When I saw a screenshot where the player has able to see through walls, I thought it was pretty sad.

Is that were modern games have come to, wallhack cheats as gameplay features?

As for the gameplay, looks like another designed-for-gamepad cover shooter where the gameplay is all about sitting behind some brick and shooting heads of enemies popping out from behind other bricks.

Shitpost? The OP asked, I answered. How is that a shitpost?

Yeah, keep baiting, this makes you seem so more mature than the "demised" GOG community.

But ok, I took your bait, so you may feel proud of yourself.
