Yes, that jackassery. It is a little funny that GOG going offline for 3 days while rebuilding their website earned them the contempt of their most "loyal" customers while Team Meat childishly provoking everyone possible is winning them praise. I quite like our stupid world.

I still prefer the alternate definition for the acronym "PETA": People Eating Tasty Animals.

I think Peta have become a bit of a liability to their own cause. They have become a joke and everyone just waits to see what crazy stupid thing they are going to do next so we can roll our eyes at it. They are the elephant in the room and have become a bit of a distraction from the issues that we should really be discussing.

They definitely do need some fresh blood up where decisions are made. Even better would be if some other animal rights group could challenge their media monopoly and use them as an antagonist.
It would probably be difficult though as journalists like entertaining and controversial opinions. Thoughtful and challenging opinions? Forget it.

More or less what that episode says ,is that to PETA animals are more important than people, so bombs are ok. That's mostly like terrorists isnt it.


I'm thinking about making the game where to earn more score you have to wipe out legions of animals in a brutal hack n slash way. You get bonus points if you increase the endangered species list. Would they have a beef with me ?

Sort of. They also have little regard for animals either as in most of their attack they have killed the very animals they demaded should be released.

There is no self evidential ethical basis not to eat animals. If the argument is that taking life to sustain one's self is wrong, then one must point to the actual reason why. This goes for the concept of animal rights as well.

Animals eat other animals, and don't respect the "right" of their prey to be free from suffering. This is the way the biosphere works. This is the way our own bodies are designed as well. We are omnivorous, and the only way that we can sustain a meat free diet healthfully is through vitamin substitution and great personal cost. This is the reason why you don't see "poor" vegans or vegetarians, at least in the US.

In the end. Eat what you want, but PETA needs to realize that their entire argument hinges on pure rhetoric. At it's core it's vacuous and indefensible.

Plus, you know, they're fucking morons.
