I remember playing the shareware version of Strife and felt overwhelmed; Why are these people talking to me instead of shooting at me? I just want to shoot everyone like Doom!
I've read a lot about that Strife game. Is there a chance the original DOS version could make it to GOG? What about the newer version?
Sweet! I played the crap out of the demo, but a modernized control schemed version would be frickin' awesome!
Strife! I thought that game was lost to the sands of time forever. So is it going to be running on a custom sourceport by the guys who did DOOM64 EX? I typically prefer ZDOOM for authenticity, but I imagine this release will also have the DOS version, or at least the IWADs to use.

I guess it will be the DOS version packed with a custom source port and the Wads should still be available.
Oh God, that would be great and fulfill one of my GOG wishlist. Back in the days, I never got to finish that game properly because of my lack of English, I always ended up killing npc's and blowing the alarm up :(
One of the best FPS that were made in the old Doom engine (it unfortunately didn't get the deserve respect due to Quake released at the same time), really hope seeing it on GOG.
Strife is awesome, level design is fantastic, also it runs really nicely on GZDoom (because it's a Doom engine game)

There it is. Release on Steam on 12/12.

GOG release is planned for the "near future" according to a Facebook post.
Odd naming. The Original Strife: Veteran Edition? At least the 'enhanced' graphics can be toggled off.

I just hope it isn't further than January.
The Steam page has a 'more like this' block featuring, erm, Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Maybe it'll be a surprise announcement here tomorrow, same day as Steam's release.
Most likely, Steam exclusive for most glorious and number one nation in whole of world!

I'm cynical but it still bothers me.
