It's been a pretty good sale for me too. Got a lot of the games I've been eying over the years for less than $3 each. Got 75% of LA Noire and discovered some other games that have been very fun. In that respect, the event side of things worked well. I even have a couple of 50% off coupons I may well use.

But it still sucks that those who abused the system so openly pretty much got a slap on the wrist while the prizes they should not have simply went into the void of disabled accounts - what a waste.

These promos should be avaible only to accounts with at least one purchased game on steam store, to slightly limit the abuses...

They were limited to accounts that bought games, but then the Indie Bundle made that a $0.01 question.

That's really quite amazing :O It's a horrible, unscrupulous thing to do of course, but I almost don't begrudge the farmers for their free stuff when they've put so much "work" into their cheating. 600 accounts!

I got HL1 and cupon on day one rest is coal. even when i crafted 7 coals i got lousy 50 percent off GTA SA (which i own)

So i still got this -33% off Skyrim, it's worth $20. Anyone wants to trade for a game? I'd be happy with a 15 or 10 dollar game, maybe plus Magicka or any 3 dollar game...

How on earth do you figure it's worth $20? I know it takes $20 off Skyrim buy why would someone give you $15 reducing the savings of Skyrim to a mere 8.3% off ($5)?

Get that sold to the highest bidder on the Steam trade forum, these sell like mad for completely sick and insane price points.

No they don't. At least not anymore...

Should only be available with accounts that have at least $50 worth in games (C'mon, $50 is nothing for a gamer), indie bundles don't count, AND accounts must've been created at least a month prior to the promotion starting.

New accounts can always buy the games that are on sale.
