So Crusader Kings 2 just went on sale, I got a coupla questions. It's one that always interested me:
1. I couldn't really get into EU3 (only had the base game), because the learning curve was a bit argh and I didn't feel like watching tons and tons of Youtube videos. How's the curve on CK2?
2. THERE IS SO MUCH DLC. I assume it's worth picking up the complete one with the deal, but which ones are actually considered necessary? Shame the new one with the hilarious trailer isn't discounted or part of ze pack.

Came home just in time to see the daily deals and the last flash sale before it changed into the current one. Really the only thing I might go for is Dishonored, there was nothing else good, and even then I can still wait a couple of days to buy it.

Thankfully I bought The Testament of Sherlock Holmes earlier today, it was on my wishlist and it's probably going to be one of better games I buy on this sale.

Momo1991: I'm not sure if this has been posted but it is fascinating! The psychology of the Steam Summer sale and how Steam gets us to buy more gamez ;-p

Considering I have yet to buy a single item from this Steam sale, it is nice to see their little mind tricks don't seem to be working on me, at least this time. :) I was very close to buying Darksiders 2 + some DLCs, but I let it pass, and don't even feel bad about it, on the contrary really.

The main reason I let it pass was because once again I was unsure which of those millions of DS2 micro-DLCs are worth getting. So the whole DLC nickel-and-diming scheme by the publishers is having an adverse effect to me, once again.

Hitman Absolution and Tomb Raider games not on GOG interested me a bit too, but maybe I'll play the earlier games in the series first, so let's get back to those in maybe 1-3 years.

Yet, according to my Steam library, over the years I have accumulated 177 Steam games (many of which redeemed keys from my Humble Indie Bundles purchases, though). Maybe I should play them first before buying any more.

Was sarcasm. It's infamously considered to be the worst game on Steam. :P

Not sure if it's worth buying actually. The Director's Cut is coming at the end of the year but we still don't know how it's going to be priced. If it's standalone then it's better to wait, if they offer somekind of discount to those that already have the base game then it's better to buy it now.

Since steam is not GOG, I would not get my hopes up... well I still have to make up my mind on F3 and F:NV so I'll probably skip Deus Ex on steam and buy the old ones on gog later this year.

Neither would I, that pretty much never happens.
Although they might just patch the changes into the existing version since they're pretty minor.
