There really is unreleased game on sale (Divinity: Original Sin)? What's next, game in pre-production on sale? I think devs are pushing the discounts too far.

Meh, D:OS's being released on June 30 (i.e. before the Summer Sale ends), so it's not a particularly bad case.

Even with a 90% rebate it's playing the game the way Bohemia wants it to be : steam exclusive. So, thanks but no thanks.

Impaler26: Defy Gravity - 0.19€
Heh, that looks like a good "investment" -- the trading cards it drops are most likely worth more than 0.19€. ;)

Planetary annihilation, Kerbal SP, , Kinetic void and dozens of other early access games on sale; As far as I am concerned : no problem. I am not buying an unfinished game;
I got Door Kickers, Starbound, and Xenonauts during Early Access.

Although I need to wait for Door Kickers and Starbound to actually finish, they're both good games.

And thank god I got Xenonauts on Early Access, since I can get it from GOG.com!

I guess you have point.
It's just that games like Kerbal SP, Starbound and others are out there for buying for so long that I consider them released no matter what devs try to claim. D:OS was not buyable even if it was on Early Access for quite some time so I don't consider them usual "eternal" Early Access game so it surpirsed me to see it on sale when it's to be released in less than 2 weeks.
With Divinity: Original Sin my perception is that Steam is just flaunting it's ability to essentially release the game (more than 11 days) early in basically complete form ahead of other outlets.

It's a shame to see Original War go for dirt cheap in discount on Steam but not even grace GOG with a slight sale before departure.

I thought The Witcher 2 was a good deal (which of course we already had) and I'm glad it seems like it's selling.
I'd like to grab Civ V complete, Strider, and maybe XCOM complete, just to have the DLC that I don't have on console and to have it on PC, although I am not certain I can run it.
what happened to the steam sales when all the flash sales were at least 75. percent off?
actually I'm pretty sure in the case with Divinity: Original Sin, it was Larian that wanted the game there for the awareness. This helps them sell it to people who might not know what it is. Valve didn't go to Larian and say "we're doing a discount of your game, har har!". Larian is publishing this themselves I think thanks to their Kickstarter so Steam has an interest in this game being successful, too.

It was probably Larian who wanted it there and Valve was nice (or self-interested, whichever comes first, it's Valve so I still think it's more of the former) enough to put it.

It was probably Larian that wanted it on sale.
If i could take all the games i have on Steam and put them on GOG i'd do it in a second. Steam is nothing but glorified DRM and i find myself buying less games there. I'd rather wait and get my games on GOG. The GOG sales excite me more than Steam's.

Can't wait for GOG Galaxy this year as i think GOG will see more games because of it in that it has more social features just like the Steam client.
